*Arcata >>*The Maitreya Loving Kindness Tour, a free public exhibition of ancient and sacred relics of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni and many other great Buddhist masters from India, Tibet, Korea and China, will be on display in Arcata next weekend at the Veterans Hall Memorial Building, 1425 J St. Hours for the exhibit are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Most of the relics in this collection resemble pearl-like crystals that in Tibetan are called "ringsel." In Sanskrit they are known as "Sarira." Some Buddhists believe that the relics embody the masters' spiritual qualities of compassion and wisdom, and that they are deliberately produced by a master at his death. The crystal relics were found among the cremation ashes of these Buddhist masters. cording to a press release, "His Holiness the Dalai Lama has graciously offered eight relics of the historical Buddha to the collection that are over 2,600 years old each." Relics have also been offered from the Sakya Reliquary in Tibet and the Meiktila Museum in Burma. The tour features relics from more than 40 Buddhist masters from different parts of the world. In all, there are over 3,000 relics in this collection.
Since 2010, the Buddha relics have been the subject of a series of ongoing studies and experiments led by Stanford University physicist William A. Tiller and former long-term Mayo clinic faculty member Nisha J. Manek.
"The published results evidence that (a) the relics are imprinted with loving kindness energy, (b) that this peaceful energy flows directly from the relics into the surrounding space and (c) that the atom-molecules in the space around the relics are ordered in a more coherent way than when the relics are not present," wrote the tour's marketing and publicity manager Michael Fouts. Fouts said that visitors often report experiences of inspiration and healing when in the presence of the relics. "While some are inspired to pray for world peace and to develop their inner wisdom, others are overcome by emotion as the powerful effects of the relics open their hearts to compassion and loving-kindness," he wrote.
"I was skeptical going into it, but I'm a curious person and kept an open mind," said Ben Easter, who attended the event in Des Moines, Iowa. "I left there amazed. It's hard to put into words, but the energy was very powerful. My friend who was with me, and who doesn't believe in anything, was blown away."
"I didn't know love like that, or peace on that level existed," said Nate Choporian of Ansonia, Conn., according to the release.
The tour was created in 2001 by the modern Buddhist master Lama Zopa Rinpoche, who was born in Nepal and remains the spiritual director of the tour. The tour has visited 68 countries, and over 2.3 million people have seen the relics. Tour stops this year also include San Francisco, Seattle, Des Moines, New York, Grand Rapids, Pittsburgh and Toronto.
Maitreya Loving Kindness Tour events are multi-faith, multi-cultural and always free to attend. The exhibition is intended for people from all walks of life and faith to learn about and experience the historical relics, which are clearly visible inside display cases that encircle a life-size golden statue of the Maitreya Buddha.
According to Buddhist scriptures, Maitreya will be the next Buddha to bring teachings of loving-kindness to the world. "The very name 'Maitri,' that's loving-kindness. Now, in today's world, we really need the promotion of Maitreya, Maitri, loving-kindness," said the Dalai Lama.

以此报告………应该可证实是假的了……

所以我一直解不开的迷,终于解开了……为何那么多舍利的……为何上次没任何感应,但这次的会有所感应………

所以我们需要清楚了解舍利的来源……

舍利我就 感应不到。。只是觉得现场我就觉得很庄严，很祥和，也许是佛菩萨 像在的关系吧～

一切随缘……

我是前一日无意中看到报纸报道, 那时只是大约找了找地点………拜六早上也没打算去的, 就把资料放上这, 反应也很冷淡……也没有一股支持我去的感觉……

吃了早餐, 就突然驾车前去……也大慨地去……果然去到了……

进了佛寺,就觉得有一种不同的感觉……应该就是对舍利子的感应吧……

因此,下午我又载妹妹和小狗去一次…

是呀,就在路边………但一路上没什么布条或指示牌……再说我没去过那一带……也不知有间佛寺在哪……如果没看到报道,我应该也不会去的……
