紫雲閣助免費裝義肢‧210障友站起來了！

（檳城）“我們終於可以站起來了！”

一連5天在檳德教會舉行的免費裝置義肢活動，在週五（5月28日）的佛陀誕生之日圓滿落幕。210個殘障者在紫雲閣、泰國皇太后基金會等各單位出錢出力之下，把義肢一一裝上，重新的從輪椅上站立起來，綻放出自信的微笑。

這些受惠者，從6歲到91歲，華人、馬來人、印度人等兼而有之。現場中的他們，個個都精神奕奕，以最燦爛的笑容和最感恩的眼神，來回報每一個協助他們站起來的朋友。

黃智緒：今年耗資52萬
各界關懷障友很感動

檳德教會紫雲閣閣長拿督黃智緒在充滿感恩氛圍的閉幕儀式上說，這是他們第二次舉辦類似的活動，規模比第一次來得龐大。

3年前當他們開始第一次裝置義肢活動時，耗資35萬令吉，今年則是52萬令吉，210人受惠。

“作為閣長，看到這一場景，我的心情久久未能平靜。這顯然是一項進步的挑戰，使我難忘的是，我們的義款絕大部份來自社會各慈善人士的自動捐獻，當然還包括了各商業銀行的巨款以及檳州政府的贊助金。大家對紫雲閣的信任還有對殘障人士的關懷，確實令人感動！”

向泰皇太后基金會學習

他也特別感謝泰國皇太后基金會的大力協助，並表示檳城人民不但要用最熱烈的掌聲來感謝基金會無私的大愛，更要以謙卑的心來向對方學習，學習如何以具體又實際的慈悲造福社會大眾，共建和諧的社會！

“這次前來協助的泰國皇太后基金會團隊中，有30多個也是在過往免費裝置義肢活動中受惠的朋友。今天，他們已經能自食其力，並以熟悉的技藝幫助本地的殘胞裝置義肢，借以回饋過去他們所受的恩惠。”

他說，紫雲閣德教會到現在還無法勸服和培訓本地受惠的同胞，自行設立一個維修中心，是一個小小的遺憾。

“我們希望下一屆，即2013年舉辦的免費裝置義肢活動是，能夠達到300人的目標。”

林冠英：殘障者重獲人生尊嚴

檳州首席部長林冠英在受邀致詞時，也表示對殘障人士能夠站起來、重新獲得人生的尊嚴而感到高興。儀式上，林冠英也代表檳州政府移交了2萬7000令吉給德教會，充作贊助金。

另一方面，為回饋來自泰國的朋友，紫雲閣亦移交了300萬泰銖給皇太后基金會，以便造福區域內更多的貧困殘障人士。（星洲日報／大北馬）
