少过C都一定要重考,

但是可以选择不要重考(要填表格)

如果不要重考,就要重读..

FAQ ON THE NEW EXAM RULING - ENGINEERING ONLY

Dear FOE students,

Please find below the related FAQs about the recent changes in the ruling concerning exam – Engineering Students.

1. Please refer to the recent announcement on Exam Rulings made by ERU on Bulletin Board, dated 29th October 2009.
2. Student must secure grade C and above for all subjects (core and arts & humanities) except co-curriculum subject in order to graduate.
3. For pre-requisite subject, students cannot proceed to the next subject which requires the pre-requisite if they obtained grade C- and below.
4. The subject registration system will detect and automatically drop subject (pre-registered) that requires a pre-requisite should student fail to clear the pre-requisite subject. This will be done normally in Week 2.
5. Student who obtained grade C- and below (D+,D,F ) for all subjects except co-curriculum subject is considered “Fail”. Grades below C (i.e. C-, D+, D, and F) that end with an asterisk (*) entitle student to sit for supplementary (Re-sit Exam). Alternatively, student has the option to request to retake the subject instead. Student needs to fill up a form at ERU latest by week 3 should they reject the offer for re-sit. The grade for the subject will therefore maintain as it is in the first attempt.
6. Engineering subjects of Trimester 1, 2009-2010 session with students given Re-sit Exam opportunity will be offered Re-sit Exam in Trimester 2, 2009-2010 session during the main exam period.
7. The Re-Sit Examination results will be calculated in the GPA in the trimester the student sits for the examination. The coursework mark remains unchanged. The best final grade will be calculated for CGPA.
8. The maximum number of subjects a student is allowed to sit for the Final Examination in each exam period (inclusive of Re-sit Examination) is only TEN (10) subjects.
