Citibank Apply & Buy HP Compaq 6530s Notebook PC Offer Terms and Conditions:
1. The period of the Citibank apply & buy HP Compaq 6530s Laptop offer (“the Offer”) shall run from 5 Jan to 31 March 2009 (both day inclusive) (“The Promotion Period”)
2. It is only applicable to new-to-bank customers (“Cardmember”) who have successfully applied for any of the following principal Citibank core credit card during the Promotion Period:
* Platinum Card
* CitiBusiness Card
* Gold Card
* CashBack Gold Card
* CashBack Card
* Clear Card
* Choice Card
3. For the avoidance of doubt, "successfully applied" means that the Cardholder’s credit card application has actually been approved by Citibank and a Citibank credit card is being or has been issued to the said customer. Conditional approval of credit card application which may be received by a customer from Citibank are not deemed to be successfully approved credit card applications.
4. Each cardmember is entitled to purchase only one (1) set of the HP Compaq 6530s Notebook PC (“HP laptop”) at RM849 plus RM150 delivery & processing charges (delivery to East Malaysia will incur additional delivery charges of RM90). (“the Offer”).
5. To purchase the HP laptop, Cardmembers are required to complete and fax the order form to Hewlett Packard (HP) at toll-free fax number 1800-81-4445 on/before 31 May 2009. Any orders received by HP after 31 May 2009 will not be entertained.
6. Upon receiving this form, a HP Consultant will email/call/sms the Cardmember at the email/telephone number stipulated in the order form within five (5) working days to confirm the order. HP consultant will also obtain Cardholder’s new Citibank core credit card details including CVV code to process the order. If the HP Consultant is unable to contact the Cardmember after three (3) attempts, the offer to purchase the HP laptop will lapse and becomes void and no effect. Please note that proof of fax is not a proof of receipt.
7. Working days as stated herein are defined as Mondays to Fridays, excluding Public Holidays.
8. The HP laptop will ONLY be ready for delivery on the 14th working day after HP has acknowledged the payment transaction approved and authorised (excluding additional processing time for order confirmation & payment clearance for upgrade options).
9. The offer is available on a first-come-first-serve basis and subject to availability of stocks. HP reserves the right to replace the laptop with similar products.
10. The offer is not applicable to supplementary Citibank core credit cardmembers.
11. No order cancellation or change of order content is allowed once the order has been confirmed by the Cardmember.
12. HP products and services are payable to Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd via Citibank Core Credit Cards only.
13. Delivery & processing service charge of RM150 (West Malaysia) / RM240 (East Malaysia) per unit excludes setup, software & driver installation.
14. For re-scheduling of confirmed delivery notified by the Cardholder to HP in less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled delivery, the Cardholder shall pay an additional charge of RM70 per trip.
15. Should the credit card transaction approval not been obtained by the 10th calendar day from order confirmation date, the order will be void. Please re-register with HP to reactivate the purchase and the process will begin from day 1.
16. Cardholders may call HP toll-free at 1800-81-4446 and press option “2” to check the laptop order status, or “1” to speak to a HP consultant on product.
17. For credit card related matters please call Citibank at 03-2383 0000 (KL), 07-268 000 (JB), 04-296 0000 (Pulau Pinang) or 1-800-82-1010 (Sabah & Sarawak).
18. The HP laptop RM849* comes with a 1-year limited warranty from date of the HP Laptop delivery. The HP Laptop is subject to HP’s warranty. Citibank gives no representation or warranty with respect to the quality of the HP Laptop or its suitability for any purpose. Any disputes in relation to the warranty and quality of the HP Laptop shall be settled directly between the Cardholder and HP. Citibank will bears no responsibility for resolving such disputes and Cardholder are to liaise directly with HP for such warranty information.
19. Items accepted in good condition are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable. Prior to acceptance, the Cardholder shall examine the goods to ensure that he/she is satisfied with the goods. In the event of dispute or complaint, kindly contact HP for assistance. Citibank is under no obligation to handle any disputes or complaints in relation to the HP laptop or liable to the Cardholder in relation to the HP laptop. Citibank is also under no obligation to reverse the charge to the Citibank core credit card in the event of a dispute or complaint between the Cardholder and HP.
20. Citibank shall not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, riot, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, storm, technical or system failures or any event beyond the reasonable control of Citibank.
21. Citibank reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these Terms and Conditions from time to time without prior notice. These Terms and Conditions may be modified, added, deleted or varied by Citibank by way of posting on the Website, or in any other manner deemed suitable by Citibank. The cardholders agree to access the Website at regular time intervals to view these Terms and Conditions and to ensure that they are kept up-to-date with any changes or variations to these Terms and Conditions.
22. These Terms and Conditions prevail over any provisions or representations contained in any brochures or other promotional materials advertising the Offer.
23. Citibank reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the Offer with or without any prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension by Citibank of the Offer shall not entitle the Cardholders to any claim or compensation against Citibank for any and all loss or damage suffered or incurred by the Cardholders as a direct or indirect result of such act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
24. In the event of any discrepancy between the English text and any other translation thereof, the English text shall prevail. |
