在公布第二季度报告的同时,也宣布了2仙的股息。。。
The Board of Atrium ReitManagers Sdn Bhd has declared an interim income distribution of 2.0 senof the income after taxation (realised) for the quarter ended 30 June2007, to be paid on the 28 August 2007 to the unitholders registered inthe Record of Depositors on the 8 August 2007. The interim distributionis slightly higher than the forecasted annualised Distribution per unitof 7.80 sen as contained in the Prospectus dated 28 February 2007.
Withholding tax will be deducted for distribution made to the following types of unitholders :
-Resident individual (withholding tax at 15%)
-Non Resident individual (withholding tax at 15%)
-Resident institutional investors (withholding tax at 20%)
-Non-resident institutional investors (withholding tax at 20%)
-Resident companies (No withholding tax. Subject to corporate tax at prevailing rate of 27%)
-Non-resident companies (withholding tax at 27% for Year of Assessment 2007) |

(吉隆坡23日訊)首要傳媒(MEDIA,4502,主板貿易)將發售總值3億5000萬令吉債券,以籌措資金攤還銀行貸款、贖回債券及用作資本開銷。
該公司向馬證交所報備說,首要媒體將發售總值1億7000萬令吉銀行擔保中期票據。
此外,該公司也將發售1億8000萬令吉商業票據。 |

全年淨利7.3億
楊忠禮機構截至2007年6月30止財政年,全年凈利達7億3014萬令吉,比較前期的7億2457萬3000令吉略漲,但在電力和洋灰業貢獻下,第4季淨利成長一倍至3億2715萬令吉,前期為1億9551萬3000令吉。
楊忠禮機構集團營業額從前期的55億零719萬令吉稍微上揚至2007財政年的58億2940萬4000令吉。
集團也建議派發每股2.5仙終期股息,全年股息達25仙。
海外水供和電力業務的收入水漲船高,使子公司楊忠禮電力截至2007年6月430日止全年凈利破10億令吉,達12億6907萬9000令吉,較前期的8億7448萬3000令吉騰漲45%。
營業額則從前期的37億5812萬令吉微升至40億6800萬令吉。
該公司建議派發每股5仙終期股息,全年股息達12.5仙。 |

预算就快出炉了,希望能够改进的包括:
个人所得税--〉,更多的钱,消费力增加,希望让不同的公司增加他们的广告,那就能推媒体公司一把。。如media,utusan,star,astro,nstp
media prima的4家FTA 电视台都不断的进步,相信能够在马来西亚的电视业上继续当佼佼者。。
拥有outdoor advetising和nstp等其他的投资,相信也能为公司贡献更多。。。
最近,GLC都开始推动CSR,不懂会不会在这次的budget不同的优惠来激励公司推行CSR..
对titan,media,ytlpower都有不同的CSR活动,如果有优惠,这3家公司就有机会了。。。

PETALING JAYA: The property sector has been thrust into the limelightsince December when the Government announced a string of incentives forit.
WithBudget 2008 slated to be tabled on Sept 7, industry players andanalysts anticipate the spotlight may now turn to the newest propertysub-sector ¡V real estate investment trusts (REITs).
All over Asia, REITs are the rage and attract long-term foreign funds.
Sinceforeign research houses such as JP Morgan and BNP Paribas coveredMalaysian REITs, interest in the local REITs by foreign institutionalfunds had increased, said Axis REIT Managers Bhd executive directorStewart LaBrooy.
¡§If we are to develop the depth of theMalaysian capital market, we should seriously compete with ourneighbours,¡¨ he told StarBiz.
In two years, the local sector has grown to 11 REITs with a combined market capitalisation of RM5bil.
HektarAsset Management Sdn Bhd chief financial officer Zalila Mohd Toon saidin comparison, REITs had been around in Singapore for five years andwere managing more than S$25bil in assets worldwide.
¡§The upside potential for growth in Malaysia, therefore, is huge. We have to think big and long term,¡¨ she told StarBiz.
LaBrooyand Zalila agreed the tax regime for REITs must continue to remaincompetitive to significantly stimulate growth in this sector.
Malaysia currently lags behind Singapore and Hong Kong in terms of tax competitiveness.
LaBrooysaid Malaysian REITs were currently trading at yields of 5.8% for 2007and 6.8% for 2008, which were 200 to 300 basis points above the 10-yearGovernment bond, risk-free.
¡§In addition, the Government shouldencourage government-linked companies (GLCs) to go light on assets byselling their properties to REITs.
¡§This will enable the GLCsto reduce their gearing and boost the size of Malaysian REITs sector,which remains small compared with regional players,¡¨ he said, addingthat Singapore had 16 REITs with a market capitalisation of S$30bil.
Zalila said the Government could also allow REITs to be involved in property development, such as in the US.
¡§MalaysianREITs should be allowed, perhaps as a starting point, to developprojects in value of up to 20% of total asset size. This will give themmore scope to further enhance their property portfolio,¡¨ she said.
Anotherarea of potential reform is debt gearing. REITs in Malaysia currentlyhad a debt ceiling set at 50% of gross asset value but in countriessuch as the US, there was no such ceiling, Zalila said.
¡§Webelieve the Government can allow REITs a higher debt ceiling.Residential properties can afford gearing of up to 70% by homeowners.
¡§Whyshould REITs, which are managed by professional teams and investing inhigh-occupancy commercial properties, be limited at 50%?¡¨ she said.
SJSecurities research head Cheah King Yoong expected several proposals toimprove the REITs sector to be announced during the budget speech.
Hislist included lowering withholding tax, flexibility in acquisition ofproperty with less than substantial control, removal of regulatoryapproval for acquisitions of foreign assets and elimination ofregulatory approval for cash acquisitions exceeding 25% of total assetvalue.
Aseambankers Research said regulators were proposing moreREITs incentives to enhance the attractiveness of this investmentclass.
¡§The proposed changes are limiting developmentactivities to 10% of total asset value, seeking unitholders' approvalfor related party transactions and flexibility in buying strata-titledproperties,¡¨ it said in a research note.
Mah Sing Group Bhdmanaging director Datuk Leong Hoy Kum said streamlining tax treatmenton dividends received from REITs would encourage participation ofdomestic and foreign investors, thus narrowing the gap with Singaporeand Hong Kong |

KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Bhd is still looking for opportunities to expand overseas, said group managing director Abdul Rahman Ahmad.
The media group remained interested in the broadcast sector in Indonesia, he said.
¨Indonesia is one country we have always been looking at, as we prefer somewhere in the region where we understand the culture and the market.
¨Over the last two years, we have been looking for overseas expansion but have not found something that will increase shareholders' value substantially,〃 he told a press conference on the group's private debt security programme yesterday.
The group has a 43.3% stake in The New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd and controls television stations TV3, ntv7, TV9, 8TV as well as radio stations Fly FM and Hot FM.
In the pipeline were plans to expand into the Internet media with the launch of Media Prima's online ¨new media opportunities〃 service which would be announced soon, Abdul Rahman said.
The private debt security programme involves the proposed issuance of up to RM350mil in nominal value private debt securities, comprising five-year bank guaranteed medium-term notes (MTN) of RM170mil and seven-year commercial papers (CP) of RM180mil.
RAM Rating Services has assigned ratings of AAA and P1 for the proposed MTN and CP respectively.
While the exercise is not expected to have material impact on the group's current year earnings, it is expected to provide lower cost of funds and interest savings over the medium term.
Media Prima is also looking at the refinancing of some of its subsidiaries' debts to streamline its debt and capital management, ¨further details of which will be announced shortly,〃 a company statement said.
Aseambankers Malaysia Bhd head of debt markets John Chong said with the Malaysian corporate bond issuance at an all time high of RM67bil for the year up to June, it was a good time for Media Prima to tap the debt market.
An estimated RM80bil to RM90bil in issuance for the full year would ¨be done〃 by end-December, Chong said.
Aseambankers, the principal adviser and lead arranger for the debt issuance, is providing a guarantee of up to RM174mil for the MTN portion.
Newfields Advisors Sdn Bhd is the financial adviser for the exercise. |

公司税减低相信能助公司在广告的消费。。

Inculcating Corporate Social Responsibility
104. The Government will continue to emphasise corporate social responsibility (CSR) by companies, especially PLCs. The Government believes that companies involved in CSR activities will benefit in the long run, apart from contributing towards the well being of the community.
105. The Government had announced in the 2007 Budget that all PLCs are required to disclose CSR activities in their annual financial reports. Beginning financial year 2008, PLCs will be required to disclose their employment composition by race and gender, as well as programmes undertaken to develop domestic and Bumiputera vendors. The private sector should leverage upon the strength of Malaysia’s diversity by employing Malaysians from all ethnic groups.
106. The Government recognises that the private sector has been successful in effectively implementing CSR projects for the benefit of the low income group.

Hence, the Government will support the efforts by establishing a CSR fund, with an initial sum of RM50 million, to jointly finance selected CSR projects. These include repairing dilapidated houses for the poor and create more employment opportunities.
107. The Government appreciates private sector initiatives in providing public facilities, which provide significant benefits to the local community, such as the construction of overhead bridges and playgrounds. Therefore, it is proposed that tax deduction be given on such investments, even if these investments also benefit the companies.
108. The PINTAR programme was launched to enable GLCs to adopt schools. At the launch of NCER in Perak, I had announced that the PINTAR programme will be extended nationwide and involve other private companies. To ensure the successful implementation, the Ministry of Finance will establish a permanent secretariat for PINTAR. Among the new initiatives to be undertaken in 2008 will be the donation of used computers to adopted schools. |

今年的预算案看齐来对股市没太大的推动,虽然公布了
company tax在2009降到25%
dividend tax exempted under single tier tax
clearing fee 降0.01
可是RM40的minimum bokerage看起来不太像在鼓励大众投资的举动。。。 |

Atrium REIT wishes to inform the Bursa that its Atrium Rawang Property leased to Unilever Foods (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd comprise an extension of space of approximately 3,000 sq. ft. which is used by Unilever Foods (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as additional storage area (hereinafter called "the Extension").
The building plans for the Extension had been approved by the Majlis Perbandaran Selayang on 13 December 2006. The construction works for the Extension had been completed prior to Atrium REIT's listing in April 2007.
Presently, we are still in the midst of completing the application for the issuance of the Certificate of Fitness on the Extension. |
