USANA (NasdaqGS: USNA) is a health and beauty company. It produces, researches, and sells health and beauty products mostly through a Multi-Level Marketing operation (direct selling). Its growth has been phenomenal and it has been publicly traded since 1992...

When I read about and watched a YouTube video of how USANA has supposedly lied to new associates about the money they can make, I just thought to myself of all the same schemes or businesses my friends/associates throughout the years have offered me. Some lie, some just only talk about the positives, no one ever talks about the negative aspects and how tough it actually is to make it as an associate and make a lot of money (for Usana, the top 3% of distributors make 70% of the commissions). When I did ask a question about the risk involved, there is a change of topic or somehow the question is not answered. If the new associate/distributor does its own research or actually thinks about what it's being told, there would be a lot less people signing up...

There obviously is an issue with USANA's MLM, but I think it will pass, it is just temporary negativity...

The negativity this company is currently experiencing is tremendous. The stock price is definitely displaying it, some of it is definitely unwarranted. The issues I am worried about are its products, some of which do not support its claims and which are much more expensive than comparable products for other brands...

I would avoid this stock for now and wait to see what happens to its sales, earnings, and margins in a full quarter after the accusations...

看那位董事可否回答U公司也迴避的問題啊 。。。

不久之前U公司還要問銀行借錢回購公司股票, 最近又要賣資產。。。粉飾股價和營運資金
期待第二季的業績報告, 粉飾後是否能平穩發展。。。否則會江河日下, 短時間亦難回復連串醜聞前的光輝日子

谣言止于智者,任何疑问无任欢迎,到时候务必亲自解答。对于所指的传闻,树大招风是其中一个导因,哪个娱乐圈的当红阿哥阿姐谁没有绯闻?最后还不是不攻自破?

我们不会在论坛上纸上谈兵,或对这个课题一知半解的人辩解,而会对真正关心这家公司或这份事业的朋友亲自剖析事情的来龙去脉。

啊啊啊 。。。
請分清楚“緋聞”和“醜聞”, 誠信醜聞嚴重得多

你懂紙上談兵 , 實在太抬舉自己咯 。。。
你在頂樓沒有寫出那位董事的名字, 那有如此這般“不出名”的宣傳 , 怕此人也是醜聞中的一位主角
無論如何, 如果是U公司的董事, 就近期的連串醜聞, 出了管理問題更不能全推卸責任

這公司還有甚麼是可信的 。。。

U公司的CFO也如此 , 那麼這公司的財務報告又會否有問題啊
U公司所說的資料有多少可以相信, 會否又是誇大、過時或虛假不實

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Another executive at Utah vitamin maker Usana Health Sciences Inc. has been forced to revise his credentials.

Gil Fuller, Usana's senior vice president and chief financial officer, has been described as a certified public accountant but let his license to practice public accounting lapse in 1986, long before he joined the company.

Utah authorities are investigating because state law doesn't let people call themselves a CPA unless they renew their license periodically with proof of continuing education credits.

"We're looking into it," Utah Department of Commerce spokesman Jennifer Bolton said Tuesday...



Fuller is the fourth company official to have to revise his resume recently.

Usana sales associate Ladd R. McNamara, who called himself a licensed medical doctor, quit the company's medical advisory board last week after The Wall Street Journal reported his medical license had been suspended in Georgia and Ohio.  

"He had stopped practicing medicine for some time, but the important thing to remember about Ladd is he was on a non-decision making board -- really an idea board," Fuller said.  

Other Usana officials have claimed degrees they didn't have.  

In March, Denis Waitley resigned as a director after acknowledging he didn't have a master's degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif., that proxy statements claimed was his.  

And Timothy Wood, vice president of research and development, changed his resume to show his Yale University doctorate was in forestry, not biology as he had claimed.  

Fuller said Wood's dissertation was on a topic of biology and that he found it easier to describe his education by saying his degree was in biology...

虽然是每个星期发佣金,但是至少没个月要花大概RM500来买产品才能保证得到那笔钱.
我只是学生啊...
哪来每个月那么多钱来买产品?
到地可不可以做呢??

如果你享有佣金,表示你的业绩不错,个人销售500元其实并不难。。而且这没有强制性,有业绩才需要维持

USANA Hit With Proposed Class-Action Lawsuit by Distributors
Thursday June 21

SALTLAKECITY (AP) -- Independent distributors filed a lawsuit Thursday accusing USANA Health Sciences Inc. of fraud and deception, the latest public-relations blow for the marketer of vitamins and nutritional supplements.

The lawsuit, which seeks class-action status, was filed in
California state court on behalf of hundreds of low-level distributors in California, which has tough multilevel marketing laws.

Veteran San Diego class-action lawyer Alexander M. Schack is seeking an injunction stopping Salt Lake City-based USANA from doing business in California, one of the company's biggest markets. The lawsuit seeks damages for "downline" distributors left with thousands of dollars of losses each after paying for business "kits" and products they say they couldn't sell at inflated prices.

"Despite a diligent effort consisting of time, money and energy, my USANA business failed miserably," Christopher Crane, the 23-year-old lead plaintiff, says in an affidavit.

Crane is no ordinary distributor. He was recruited by Dr. Ladd R. McNamara, who quit the company's medical advisory board last month after The Wall Street Journal reported his medical license had been suspended in Georgia and Ohio. Crane is a childhood friend and one-time roommate of McNamara's son.

USANA has come under attack by a San Diego investigator, Barry Minkow, for its network marketing business model, once-soaring share price, and series of flaps involving the credentials of top executives and sales associates.

Minkow, who served eight years in prison for stock fraud and later started the Fraud Discovery Institute, came out with his first critical report on USANA in February when he bought "put" options on USANA's stock in a bet the price would fall. USANA has sued him for defamation.

Minkow's reports have spurred a legal assault against USANA with eight law firms competing for the right to represent stockholders in another proposed class action. Schack's is the first proposed class-action filed on behalf of money-losing distributors.

USANA said in a statement that the lawsuit was without merit "and relies on false claims made by a stock fraud felon who stands to profit from a decline in USANA's stock price."

The lawsuit alleges USANA failed to disclose "material adverse facts" to recruits, notably that 87 percent of active distributors are losing money and that the company's business model amounts to a pyramid scheme requiring a constant churn in the sales force, according to court papers.

Crane said he couldn't sell the vitamin and mineral formulations at USANA's prices, couldn't consume the monthly supplies himself and was forced to give away samples to sales prospects. His total investment was $3,500, and after refunds he said he was out $500.
