Samson Oil & Gas Limited Announces Extension of Closing Dates for Share Purchase Plan and U.S. Offering

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The directors of Samson Oil & Gas Limited (ASX: SSN) (NYSE AMEX: SSN) advise that the closing date for the current Share Purchase Plan (“SPP”) has been extended to a final closing date of 5pm WST Wednesday 30 June 2010.

In addition, the expiration of the concurrent offering to holders of American Depositary Shares (“ADS”) in the U.S. is also being extended to 5pm EST Wednesday 30 June 2010. In light of the recent depreciation of the AUD, the directors have also decided to re-price the ADS offering price to align it with the SPP price offered in Australia. The original USD price was 63.9 cents per ADS, based on an exchange rate of USD 0.925 per AUD, the rate of exchange when the ADS offering was initially priced. The new USD price will be 57.7 cents per ADS, based on the historical 10 day average exchange rate of USD 83.44 per AUD.

ADS holders will now be able to elect to purchase one of four offers, detailed below:

    * Offer A -- US$865.5 for 1,500 ADSs, including the ADS issuance fee (representing 30,000 ordinary shares)
    * Offer B -- US$4,327.50 for 7,500 ADSs, including the ADS issuance fee (representing 150,000 ordinary shares)
    * Offer C -- US$8,655 for 15,000 ADSs, including the ADS issuance fee (representing 300,000 ordinary shares)
    * Offer D -- US$12,727.46 for 22,058 ADSs, including the ADS issuance fee (representing 441,160 ordinary shares)

ADS holders who have previously subscribed at the original price will have their purchases adjusted to reflect the new price and will receive a refund.

The offering price in the SPP for Australian and New Zealand holders of ordinary shares has not been amended and the four levels of participation previously advised remain unchanged. As at 10 June 2010, acceptances have been received for 20,512,395 ordinary shares under the SPP, representing A$697,422.

Samson Oil & Gas Reports on Latest Developments in North Stockyard Field

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Samson Oil & Gas Limited (ASX: SSN) (NYSE AMEX: SSN), which holds equity in six Sections in Township 154 N Range 99 W in Williams County, North Dakota, located in the deepest part of the Williston Basin, updated its prior reports on the exceptional growth in oil production and reserves that it has achieved in the area. Having just drilled its third Middle Bakken well (Gary #1-24H), which followed the previously drilled Leonard #1-23H, and Gene #1-22H wells, Samson announced that the next well in the sequence will be the Rodney #1-14H.

As a result of the drilling and fracture stimulation of this sequence of wells, Samson expects to be producing a net 6,000 barrels of oil equivalent a month as at December 2010. The projected December 2010 production rate is based on the data gathered from the Gene 1-22H well projected forward using conservative decline curve methodology. The projection assumes that the other wells making up the sequence perform like the Gene 1-22H well and are drilled and stimulated in a timely manner.

Gary #1-24H (37% working interest)

The Gary #1-24H well, located in Section 24, has reached a total depth of 17,727 feet measured depth, including a horizontal section of 5,647 feet. The well was drilled in the prolific middle member of the Mississippian Bakken Formation in the Williston Basin, using a design very similar to the one successfully implemented on the Gene #1-22H well.

Whilst drilling the horizontal section, continuous oil and gas shows were recorded within the Middle Bakken Formation.

The forward plan is to run a 5 inch liner equipped with external casing packers that will allow 20 frac stages to be undertaken. The number of frac stages have been increased from the 15 stages utilized in the Gene #1-22H well based on experience in the area suggesting that the additional 5 stages will increase both the initial rate and the reserves associated with the well.

The frac date is expected to be either at the end of July or the third week of August.

Rodney #1-14H (27% working interest)

Samson has received a proposal to drill the Rodney #1-14H well, which would be its fourth Middle Bakken well. Both of the more successful Middle Bakken wells, the Gene 1-22H and the Gary 1-24H, will have been completed with high strength proppant and multiple stage fracs. This completion protocol showed considerable improvement in the Gene 1-22H from the Leonard #1-23H, which was Samson’s first Bakken well in the field, and similarly positive results are expected when the Gary 1-24H is completed.

The spud date for the Rodney 1-14H well has not yet been set but it is anticipated that drilling will begin sometime in August of this year.

Gene #1-22H (30.6% working interest)

After being on-line for two months, the Gene #1-22H well has met Samson’s pre-drill expectations. Cumulative production for the first two months is 33,470 bbls of oil and 40,000 Mscf of gas. The well is still flowing naturally and has a higher potential than the current rate of approximately 400 BOPD. It is typical for unconventional reservoirs like the Gene 1-22H to have a steep initial decline, so the Gene well is behaving as expected.

Sometime in the next several months, however, after the flowing tubing pressure and flow rate reduces to low rate, the rod pump will be run in the hole to commence artificial lift. At this time, the oil and gas flow rate would be expected to increase substantially due to the lower flowing bottom-hole pressure.

6/17/10 - Stock Market Investing Ideas

Blue Dolphin Energy Co. (BDCO) - Shares of Blue Dolphin Energy Co. were on fire for the second straight trading day after the company released positive news on Tuesday.  At this point, I'd only be a buyer of Blue Dolphin Energy if the stock broke $0.61.

Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. (NBIX) - Shares of Neurocrine Biosciences Inc. exploded higher on news of a drug partnership.  The is held $5.00 and then rallied back mid day to around $5.35.  If NBIX breaks $5.60, it could move toward $6+ easily in my opinion.

Jones Soda Co. (JSDA) - I'm still watching shares of Jones Soda Co. closely.  The stock ripped through the $1.72 high of the day on Wednesday and is looking strong.  Keep a stop at $1.64.

Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (ABK) - Shares of Ambac Financial Group, Inc. continue to trade below $1.00.   Resistance is located at $1.00 and if I see Ambac break above this level, I will buy for a quick trade.

昨晚做了三个交易,其中一个是乌龙交易,手上的2450单位 MPEL以 $4.34卖了..赚USD$995;CONTRA FNM 10000 单位以$0.5610出货,赚USD$266;至于乌龙交易側是CONTRA另外的2450单位 MPEL以买价$4.25,卖价$4.3出了,小赚USD$55...因为本来是要排$4.28卖手上的2450的MPEL...怎么知道错把买当卖...结果在有赚头的情况下就放了....总的来说,昨晚算是丰收的一晚,有SGD千八多的近在进账...
