Support : RM0.12 Upside Resistance : >RM0.20
Stop Loss: RM0.11
Technical Comments.
Six weeks ago, we said there could be trading opportunities if its’ candles stay above the level of 20 sen. The level fails to hold and its candles have been free falling before finding support at 12sen a few days ago. Since then, the candles have recovered slightly to extricate from the level. This is helping it to haul its momentum indicators up after an extended oversold streak. Although the indicators are still below the lower limit, their recovering trend may encourage further upsides in the near term.
Trading View
Consequently, Hevea’s share is worth a trading buy, but so long as it remains above the support of 12 sen, otherwise the avoid recommendation prevails.

World Market for Furniture & Fixtures to Reach $395 Billion by 2012,...PRWeb
November 13, 2008
- World market for furniture, and fixtures is expected to receive a temporary setback as a result ofthe present challenging business conditions, slowing global economy, and worsening financial instability. The US market is presently bearingthe brunt of depressed business conditions. The soft housing and constructionindustry, steady erosion in consumer confidence, reduced householdwealth, and weaker household consumption, have already thrown adampener on furniture demand. However, with the market expected to posta quick recovery, growth is expected to bounce back in the upcomingyears.
As the world market recovers poise, growth will bedriven by Asia-Pacific. The region is well on its way into transformingitself into a hub of furniture production activities with several largemanufacturers from developed countries establishing manufacturingoperations in Asian countries in an attempt to leverage the benefits oflow cost labor, and raw materials. Lucrative regional markets in Asiawith the strongest potential include -- China, India, Vietnam,Thailand, Korea, and Malaysia, among others. China ranks as the largestworldwide exporter of furniture products in the international market.Italy, Germany, and Canada, in the preferred order, are other majorglobal exporters of furniture. The share of developed countries inglobal furniture exports is gradually receding with rapid developmentof furniture sector in Vietnam, Malaysia, Brazil, Egypt, and Indonesia.Relatively low manufacturing cost is helping the aforementioned regionsto register strong growth in overseas markets.
Productinnovation in terms of designs, styles, colors and themes will continueto influence demand in the upcoming years. Presently in vogue arefurnitures designed around the 'natural' concept, driven by theconsumer's desire to combat stress. New designs feature lake house, lodge and mountain retreat appearances, while coastal looks, whichhitherto dominated the market, gives way to a shift towards more inlandstyles. Also popular are ethnic furniture from Far East, handcraftedfurniture with hand-woven finishes, and furniture accessoriesmanufactured from indigenous materials such as hardwoods, textiles, bamboo and reeds. The growing demand for unique textures and looks iscontributing towards the search for alternative materials. In the US,extensive R&D related to advanced polymers is continuing. Anotherreason for alternative materials is the ongoing 'Green' movement thatemphasizes recycling. Common alternative materials include recycledplastics and objects such as stone and metal residues from demolitionsites. Designers are also targeting recycled veneers and honeycombplastic as materials for furniture manufacturing. Metal is re-emergingas a material of choice for furniture manufacturing.
Anothernoteworthy trend is the demand for furniture that fits gracefully intomodern multipurpose living rooms. Consumers now prefer living areaequipped with multipurpose furniture, such as futons, beanbags, plushleather benches, and oversized love seats, which offer various seatingoptions. The most popular trend among homeowners is to club the livingarea with hometheater entertainment. For instance, consumers prefer central roundtables, and cozy sofas, which transform from workspace to eating-spaceto entertainment centers when required. As stated by a recent reportpublished by Global Industry Analysts Inc., Europe and the UnitedStates corner over 70% of the world furniture and fixtures marketestimated in the year 2008. Asia-pacific is projected to emerge intothe fastest growing region with a CAGR of 4.35% over the years 2011through 2015. Household furniture and fixtures market in Latin Americais forecast to reach US$7.3 billion by the year 2015. Garden, kitchen, and bedroom furniture will experience relatively strongergrowth over the years 2011 through 2015, with projected CAGRs in excessof 3%. Sales of Office & Institutional Furniture and Fixtures inEurope are forecast to rise by US$2.8 billion over the period 2008 to2012.
Key players dominating the global furniture and fixtures market include Ashley Furniture Industries Inc., Bassett Furniture IndustriesInc., Brown Jordan International, Bush Industries Inc., CanadelFurniture Inc., Conforama, DFS Furniture Company Plc, Dorel IndustriesInc., VitrA, Vitra, Commercial Furniture Group, Furniture BrandsInternational Inc., Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing. Co. Ltd., HaworthInc., Herman Miller Inc., HeveaPac Sdn. Bhd, Knoll Inc., Kohler Co,La-Z-Boy Inc., Leggett & Platt Inc, Licentia Group A/S, LexingtonHome Brands, Masco Corporation, Slims Furniture and Natuzzi Group SpA,among numerous others.
