乳胶价涨 美元走弱 顶级手套首季净利挫44%

（吉隆坡15日讯）受乳胶价格持续上涨以及令吉兑美元汇率走强冲击，顶级手套（TopGlov，7113，主板工业产品股）2011财年首季净利跌幅逾44%。

截至2010年11月30日第一季，顶级手套净利报3605万令吉，上财年同期为6520万8000令吉，按年下挫44.72%。

顶级手套表示，乳胶价格按年平均涨57%，从2010财年首季每公斤4.58令吉涨至本财年首季的7.20令吉，且美元兑令吉汇率已贬值约9.3%，从3.43令吉水平跌至3.11令吉。

至于第一季营业额，则从上财年同期的4亿7230万令吉，微扬4.67%至4亿9150万9000令吉。

生产更多丁腈手套

未来，顶级手套将投入生产更多的丁腈手套，因这类手套的赚幅较高，并且不受乳胶价格大幅波动性影响。

顶级手套主席丹斯里林伟才表示，尽管商品价格波动，尤其是乳胶价格和美元继续走弱将影响业者的盈利，但深信集团将维持盈利。

他强调，顶级手套将持续通过研发、革新和优化生产流程，以有效降低成本以及提高产品素质。

针对手套套需求量放缓，他相信是短暂性的，因为预计不久的将来，手套需求量将逐渐增加，特别是来自于医疗保健行业和新兴市场。

英國衛生防護局週四發布最新一期流感通報說，本月16日至22日，再有10名甲型H1N1流感患者死亡，使今冬流感季英國的甲型H1N1流感患者死亡人數增至24人。

通報說，因出現流感症狀而就醫者持續增加。英國今冬引發流感的病毒，包括甲型H1N1流感病毒和乙型流感病毒。除了24人死於甲型H1N1流感外，還有3人死於乙型流感，即共有27人死於流感。

衛生防護局說，雖然還無法全面預測流感發展趨勢，但在未來一段時間，出現大規模流感疫情的可能性不大。

英國官員週二表示，全國目前有超過300人因為感染流感，而在深切治療室接受醫治。

歐洲衛生專家指，目前英國面對的嚴重流感潮，有可能會擴散至歐洲大陸。（香港明報）

PETALING JAYA (Aug 10, 2011): Top Glove Bhd and Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd were two of the biggest winners on Bursa Malaysia Wednesday despite having a relatively quiet day right until the last half hour before the closing bell.

The two counters then experienced a sudden burst of buying activity, boosting their share prices in the closing period of trading.

Top Glove ended up as the day's top gainer, surging 91 sen or 18.3% to RM5.88 on volume of 597,900 shares. That level was the glove maker's best closing price since September last year.

Traders said shares in Top Glove gained 80 sen over the last 20 minutes with buyers seen chasing up the stock amid the lack of sellers at lower levels. Its low for the day was RM4.99.

For Tan Chong, the counter jumped 38 sen, or 8.1%, to RM5.08 with 2.4 million shares transacted.

The stock was drifting close to the flatline for the most part of the day. However, the last 10 minutes of trade saw 1.7 million Tan Chong shares changing hands at RM5.08 apiece. The counter traded to an intra-day low of RM4.69.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Malaysia's Top Glove Corporation (TPGC.KL) on Tuesday said it expects to grow its profits in 2011 at a much slower pace due to continuing high latex prices, the weakening dollar and a moderation in demand.

The world's largest rubber maker expects to grow revenue and net profit by 10 percent for its FY11 ending Jun 30, 2011, it said at a briefing.

The company has grown at a rate of 50 percent a year over the last five years, company chairman Lim Wee Chai said, and added this was not sustainable over the long term.

"It's almost impossible to grow at the rate we have been growing," Lim said. "The coming one year will be challenging."

Latex, which accounts for 59 percent of the company's overall expenses, is trading near a multi-year peak at 7.49 ringgit per kilo. Rubber prices have been rising in almost all markets across Asia. [ID:nSGE69B00N]

The weakening U.S. dollar also hurt the company's fourth-quarter results, which it reported on Wednesday. Top Glove sells most of its products in U.S. dollars and a stronger ringgit hurts its revenue as well as profit margins.

Top Glove's executive director Lim Cheong Guan said the company has incurred forex losses totaling 21 million ringgit ($6.77 million) in FY10. Lim said Top Glove has increased its hedging positions to protect itself from the weakening dollar.

The ringgit MYR= has been trading around its highest levels since 2008 at 3.10 ringgit to the dollar.

"Currency factors are something we can't control, so we actually have to focus on areas that we can control," chairman Lee said.

In response to the worsening operating environment, Lee said Top Glove has reduced its active capacity and moved some of its lines into standby mode.

Top Glove raised the price of gloves by 5 percent last week, he added.

Top Glove's shares have come off its high of 7.28 ringgit a share last July. It is presently trading at 5.59 ringgit.

疑外資炒作 頂級手套勁升復猛挫

（吉隆坡11日訊）向來都是外資心頭好的頂級手套（TOPGLOV，7113，主要板工業），今昨兩日皆是起落之最，股價大起大落，分析員不排除是有外資或基金經理從中炒作所致。

大馬投資研究劉蘇芬回答《中國報》詢問時指出，頂級手套向來都是外資相當喜好的股項，擁有約30%的外資持股。

“昨日頂級手套股價也是最后一刻從后追上，不過是閉市前不到10分鐘的事情，近期也未聽聞該公司有任何新動向，因此相信只是炒作，在無實質動作支撐下，所以股價今日就掉下來了。”

昨日（8月10日）閉市時，頂級手套臨尾大舉收高18%或91仙至5.88令吉；但該股今日甫開盤又迅速回跌13%至5.10令吉，起伏波動頻大，股價如坐雲霄飛車。

休市時，頂級手套收窄跌幅至66仙，報5.22令吉，半日交投43萬4700股。

但劉蘇芬對頂級手套前景依舊看好，她說，該股向來都是復原力道強（Resilient）的股項。

“儘管該公司管理層坦承基于早前乳膠價格高企且部份客戶轉向丁手套，美元走軟等外圍因素，所以截至今年8月31日的2011財年業績表現料較遜色，淨利也會按年收窄。”

但隨著目前乳膠價格已回落（據大馬橡膠局網站，目前每公斤乳膠價8.495令吉），乳膠手套需求也重新回升，相信這些利好將反映在2012財年首二季度業績上。

基于暫時未有任何變更，大馬投資研究維持早前對該股評估于“脫售”，據2012年15至16倍本益比，給予合理價3.90令吉。

閉市時，頂級手套跌58仙報5.30令吉，成交量76萬8700股。[ChinaPress]
