Google Nexus One getting Gingerbread in a few weeks
It should come as no surprise that the Google Nexus One will be updated to Android 2.3 Gingerbread - it's one of the advantages of getting a Google-branded phone. We didn't know when to expect the update though.
A post from the Google Nexus phones official Twitter account confirmed that the Nexus One will receive an Over-The-Air update to 2.3 Gingerbread in the coming weeks. Check out what the latest version brings to the table.
NFC won't work obviously, but you still have a slight performance boost, better power management and text input improvements to look forward to.
When the Gingerbread update is available, your Nexus One should notify you - the update rollout will be gradual and probably won't appear in all regions simultaneously. |
