26-year-old Brazilian Felipe Gorski, is not your typical "ang moh". He stays in an HDB flat, goes to local hawker centres for his favourite food and takes public transport to work. It was his love for his then-Chinese girlfriend that brought him to Singapore in the first place.
As the top graduate of a university back home, life was not easy when he first arrived. Without a work permit and no working experience, he had to start from scratch and humble himself in looking for a job. Find out how he eventually managed to overcome the odds to climb up the corporate ladder, and how he integrated himself into the local community and settled down with his girlfriend with the help of an elderly couple and his soccer friend. |
