Reds hopeful over Adam capture

Liverpool remain hopeful of signing Blackpool captain Charlie Adam before the end of the transfer window despite Ian Holloway’s insistence that it would take £14 million to secure his captain's services

Kenny Dalglish, Holloway's counterpart, had an initial bid of £4.5 million rejected on Friday and sources at Blackpool have confirmed that a second offer, due to be lodged yesterday and worth £5 million, will be given equally short shrift.

Holloway declared yesterday that Liverpool would have to put a "one in front of" their original valuation to stand any chance of signing Adam in the next seven days, but a compromise may yet be reached for around £7 million.

The midfielder, a £500,000 signing from Rangers, is believed to be desperate for a deal to go through, while Holloway has admitted that he would not stand in Adam's way should a "big" club come in for him, though he would prefer that scenario to arise at the end of the season.

On Saturday Sunderland discovered there is life in the wake of a departing malcontent. The story of the one that got away and the other anxious to fly the nest dominated Bloomfield Road at the end of yet another display of attacking endeavour by two of the season's unlikely overachievers.

据《每日镜报》的消息，一旦利物浦签下阿贾克斯球星苏亚雷斯，那么前巴萨、切尔西射手埃杜.古德约翰森就会从英超球队斯托克城转会到阿贾克斯。
　　自在去年8月份从摩纳哥转会斯托克城后，冰岛前锋无法进入一线队阵容，在英超遭遇失败后，他绝望地想转会走人。古德约翰逊在1995-97年效力埃因霍温，现在随着利物浦求购苏亚雷斯，他有望回到荷甲加盟阿贾克斯，填补乌拉圭射手留下的空缺。
　　他的父亲亚尔诺.古德约翰森对媒体透露：“我们正在等阿贾克斯那边的情况进展，我们知道有他们对埃杜有兴趣。埃杜可能会回到荷兰，但前提是苏亚雷斯被卖掉，那么一切就会成为可能。”
　　上周，阿贾克斯主教练德波尔表示，利物浦想要得到苏亚雷斯就要尽快拿出合适的报价，因为他们寻找苏亚雷斯的替身也需要时间。

不希望又来一个像Kezman在荷甲呼风唤雨，来到英超就直接变软趴趴。

Luis Suarez Liverpool transfer ‘to be completed in next 48 hours’
Liverpool have upped their attempts to sign Ajax striker Luis Suarez, with the Reds’ director of football strategy Damien Comolli flying out to Holland this morning for further talks.
Comolli will hold talks with Ajax representatives about securing the 23-year-old striker for a fee believed to be around ￡20 million.
Liverpool are hoping to finalise the deal in the next couple of days, with Ajax also said to be keen on the move taking place as quickly as possible so they have time to find a replacement before the end of the transfer window.
Suarez himself has publicly expressed his admiration for the Premier League, declaring: ‘England is a league that attracts me – alongside the Spanish league, it is the best in the world.’
Ajax coach Frank de Boer said the Dutch club are ready to replace the Uruguayan striker and are keen not to let the negotiations drag on.

Liverpool chief Comolli in Amsterdam to close deal for Ajax striker Suarez

Liverpool chief Damien Comolli is in Holland today for talks with Ajax over striker Luis Suarez.

The Sun says if Liverpool come up with £20million, they could seal a deal for the 23-year-old by midweek.

Suarez has his heart set on the Premier League, with Anfield - helped by a core of Spanish-speaking players - top of his list.

He admitted: "England is a league that attracts me - alongside the Spanish league, it is the best in the world."

Suarez has told team-mates he thinks a transfer could go through quickly.

我相信国王还不至于像肥贝那样"别出心裁"。
Suarez的作用除了射门得分外，更重要的是能用来引开对方后卫们对Torres"无微不至"的照顾。
不过Kuyt改造得也不算是失败作品。
以他那么精力旺盛的体力，如果只是用来摆在龙门前等人喂球也是有点浪费。
