you're wrong with few things here.

1. Gold ETF will not supress the gold price but otherwise.

2. The passbook in the market is not a direct ETF certificate. It is too massive for individual investor, so the bank is the one who do the actual lot purchase and split into smaller portion. Like bond, minimum lot is so large i.e 100,000 lot, so your fund manager split into smaller chunk for people to buy i.e mutual fund.  

3. Your example with Waren Buffett is bias. He is well known for his anti gold view, everybody knows that. but look carefully what his view on the US dollar, it reviews his real thinking instead than what he said publicly.

4. Yes, as all other derivative instrument, gold ETF have counter party risk but you can't rule out it as an instrument to invest. All we need to aware is WHEN TO GET IN AND OUT!!!! If so, all derivatives cannot be traded and a scum??  

5. Suppression on gold price or other commodities recently (speculately widely) has a lot to do with large banking shorting postion and CME margin increment.

But one thing I agree, if buy gold, physical is preferrable. IMO, gold is not an investment, but an insurance premium I paid to hedge against fiat currency a.k.a maintain purchasing power.

很多人都看好银，因为银真的太便宜了。我本身也购买很多白银投资

如果是金的话，我也只是好你少少而已。大概是165++
之前买了很多白银，我打算现在开始买黄金

经过询问专业讲师和个人分析，经济+石油推断。 如没有什么重大事件。

2013的金价，不会超过180。

本人买的金价成本平均（包括费用）=167。 现在等着175就放了。

不值得等待。我不打算收超过1年。

另外强烈建议，不好买外面的黄金。

纸黄金 = Public Bank, Maybank, UOB, CIMB

实体黄金 = 去有名气大间的买吧。

我是看长期，当FED 宣布QE 4时，也就是说通货膨胀将会来临
当然几时会发生，没有一个说的准
所以我相信贵金属是一个很好的投资。当然我可能是错的

觉得投入不多，盈利也看不到。。。扣了车油等。。。
