MR. GILBERT YAP
- Joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1980
- Head-hunted to join Citibank in 1987 in the derivatives futures market, eventually rising to the position of VP, the Regional Marketing Director
- Played an advisory role in the planning stages for Kuala Lumpur Options & Financial Futures Exchange and the Malaysian Monetary Exchange
- Left as a VP at Citibank (Regional Marketing Director) in 1997 at the “ripe old age” of 37, and continued trading happily on his own ever since.
