1. What is the differencebetween the mechanisms of action of MAMR vs Conventional Aerosol MosquitoRepellents CAMR?
In MAMR, the anti-mosquitoagent sprayed will evaporate and spread around the room, killing mosquitoes. In CAMR, the anti-mosquitoagent is unable to evaporate properly so that it will settle once it falls tothe ground. CAMR can only kill mosquitoes as long as the agent is in the air,therefore it requires a great amount of dosage and gas pressure.
2. What is the differencebetween the active agent of MAMR and that of regular CAMR?
The anti-mosquito agent of MAMR(Metofluthrin) and CAMR (prallethrin & permethrin) are classified assynthetic pyrethroids, inspired from natural insecticides contained in thechrysanthemum flowers. However, the active agent metofluthrin contained in MAMRhas much higher vapor pressure so that it evaporates more easily in the air anddoes not leave any residue.
3. Why is the volume of MAMRonly 83 ml, whereas other aerosol repellents may reach 600 ml? With 83 ml, MAMR may be used upto 830 pushes of usage. Everyday 4 pushes can lasts for 200 days. This isbecause its active agent can evaporate automatically, so that its active agentmay optimally spread out in the air without falling to the ground, so that nolarge volume is necessary.

Exposure to high levels ofmetofluthrin in animal studies was not associated with any significantreproductive or developmental toxicity, so there are no special concerns forpregnant women. 5. Safe to use in aquarium? Metofluthrin, like mostpyrethroids is highly toxic to fish and should not be used where contact withfish may occur. Aquaria containing fish should be sealed so that no watercontact with metofluthrin.
