请问大大们，如要报读space utm的civil engineering part time degree课程。。。
1）入学资格是什么？
2）需要读几年？
3）报名时要带什么文件，照片等吗？还有，报名费RM??
4）我朋友是独中生，没有spm文凭，国语只有pass，但是，好几年前已经考到diploma in civil engineering了，之后还有5-6年的相关工作经验。这样的情况，是否需要找人写推荐信以提高被录取的资格呢？是不是也需要目前工作公司老板的推荐信等等呢？
（其实，最后第4项的问题应该是：如何才能提高被录取的机会？）
据我所知，6月28日是这次报名的截止日期，所以希望大大们能帮帮忙~~~谢谢！谢谢！

PART I                FOR FULL TIME ONLY!!!!!

Undergraduate Programmes (Bachelor in Civil Engineering)

The Faculty of Civil Engineering offers a full-time 4-year undergraduate programme leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree.
The curriculum has been developed with the following aspirations;

i)
To enhance the quality of learning and teaching in the academic environment;

ii)
To disseminate
engineering sciences which focused on quantitative, problem solving, design and engineering practice

iii)
To incorporate the generic skills which include communication skill, leadership, social and environmental responsibilities awareness.

iv)
To embed research attributes in courses

The curriculum provides competence graduates that satisfy the needs of industry. The effectiveness and quality of the curriculum is enhanced with proper assessment techniques on every course.
The curricular approach, the educational content and the teaching-learning and assessment methods are appropriate, consistent with, and support the attainment to achieve the Programme Learning Outcomes (LO), as described in the Section 3 and the preceeding paragraphs.

Entry Requirement
ENTRY REQUIREMENT

A. Minimum Entry Qualifications For STPM Holders

1. University General Requirements

• 1.1  Passed Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with good results
• 1.2  Passed with a credit in Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Malaysia at SPM level or equivalent.
• 1.3  Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
• 1.4  Passed in a single sitting, Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or equivalent with at least:-
  • i) Grade C in General Studies / General Paper, and
  • ii) Grade C in TWO (2) other subjects.

2. Programme Specific Requirements

• 2.1  Passed STPM with at least 2.75 CGPA
• 2.2  Passed with at least Grade B-(2.67) at STPM level in Additional Mathematics, Physics and Chemistery.
• 2.3  Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent.
• 2.4  Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.

B. Minimum Entry Qualifications For Those Who Have Completed The Ministry Of Education Malaysia Matriculation/Asasi Sains Programme

1. University General Requirements

• 1.1  Passed SPM / equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu.
• 1.2  Passed Ministry of Education Marticulation (MEM) with at least 2.00 CGPA and passed all specialisation subjects.
• 1.3  Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

2. Programme Specific Requirements

• 2.1  Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent.
• 2.2  Passed with at least Grade B-(2.67) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and obtained at least 2.75 CGPA and passed all specialisation subjects.
• 2.3  Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.

C. Minimum Entry Qualifications For Certificate/Diploma Holders

1. University General Requirements (Certificate Holders)

• 1.1  Passed SPM / equivalent with credits in
  • i) Bahasa Melayu and
  • ii) Mathematics
• 1.2  Obtained a certificate from a Polytechnic / equivalent in Malaysia in a field relevant to the course applied with a minimum of
  • i) CGPA 2.00, and
  • ii) Passed all subjects of specialisation.
• 1.3  Candidates are required to submit a detailed transcript of results of their Certificate (from the first semester to the final semester).

2. University General Requirements (Diploma Holders)

• 2.1  Passed SPM or equivalent with credits in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics
• 2.2  Has obtained at least band 1 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
• 2.3  Holds other qualifications deemed equivalent by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate.

3. Programme Specific Requirements

• 3.1 Passed with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent.
• 3.2 Obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from UTM / equivalent with CGPA of at least 2.50or
  Obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from UTM / equivalent with CGPA of 2.30 and had at least two years working experience in a related field.
• 3.3 Do not have health problems that may affect the studies.
• 3.4 Candidates are required to submit a detailed transcript of results of their Diploma (from the first semester to the final semester).

Note:
Actual year of entry and duration of study will depend on credits exemption approved by UTM.

11. Entry Requirement	1. Matriculation with minimum of B- in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics or Biology 2. STPM with minimum of B- in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics 3. Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum CGPA of 2.70 from recognized institutions

12. Students Admission Requirements

The prospective candidates that enter the programme through the second entry way of intakes consist of half-skilled man power from both the government and private sectors. Successful candidates will be given credit exemptions based on their academic qualifications. The students of SPACE must also comply with the University’s Rules and are granted access to all the facilities in the University, which include the library, lecture halls, laboratory, and resources centre.

All applicants who apply for a Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Engineering must fulfil the conditions specified by the University as follows;

1.
Obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from any Public Institution of Higher Learning, such as UTM, UiTM, and Politeknik, with a minimum CPA of 2.70 or
For candidates with CPA below 2.70 but have a minimum of two or more years of working experience in related fields of study are eligible to apply for admission to SPACE UTM civil engineering programme.

2.
Obtained credits in Bahasa Melayu and Mathematics in SPM or equivalent, i.e., credit in Bahasa Melayu in the July Examinations will be taken into consideration.

3.
For those applicants without a credit pass in Mathematics at SPM level, a minimum grade C in any of Mathematics courses taken at diploma level, will be taken into consideration.

4.
Applicants are required to submit the transcripts
(results for itemized courses starting from first to final semester) for Diploma or Sijil+Diploma levels. A copy of the diploma or a letter of completion of the study is also to be submitted together with their applications.

5.
Had successfully sat for Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

Credit Transfer / Exemption

Policies and Processes for Credit Transfer / Exemption

Majority of the registered students are recognized Diploma holders in Civil Engineering. The credit exemptions for these students are carried out reasonably. All students are eligible to apply for credit exemptions in certain subjects based on their Diploma results and working experience. Students with Diploma of Civil Engineerign as their entry qualifications are eligible for credit
exemption for certain courses offered in the first year of the programme. In other words, qualified students are exempted from taking courses offered in the first year of the undergraduate programme. The reasons, these courses were already
taken by the students during their diploma courses. Having exempted these courses, the students can progress into the second year of the programme.
In clause 7.2 of the EAC Manual, the council allows a maximum of 30% of the total credit hours for credit transfer/credit exemption.

Based on entry qualifications, only students with Diploma or equivalent are eligible for credit transfer/exemption. UTM SPACE has a policy on credit transfer/exemption. The general guidelines for credit transfer/exemption are as follows:

i)

Only courses with grade of C or better are eligible for exemption

ii)
The course applied must be equivalent to FKA course (at least 75% coverage)

iii)
Diploma holders from UTM KL are exempted for 1 credit for a co-curriculum course.

iv)
Students must officially apply for exemption.

The exemption of course credits from other institutions into the Faculty of Civil Engineering is approved by the head department of external programme and is updated by Unit Kemasukan dan Rekod, UTM SPACE.


The process of obtaining approval for credit exemption shown is as follows:

1.
A student is to submit the application form for credit exemption /transfer to the academic supervisor within 2 semesters after intial program registration.

2.
The application must be accompanied with photocopies of the Diploma transcript. The academic supervisor is to vet through the application and
recommend to the head department the relevant credit exemption/transfer based on the credit transfer policy.

3.
The application form is then submitted to the head department for approval.

4.
The application form is submitted to Unit Kemasukan dan Rekod, UTM SPACE. Finally, the approved credit transfer will be updated in the student’s record.

本人还有点疑问，就是exemption要如何申请呢？因为上面资料写了需要official letter来申请，请问可以教教我怎么写这封信吗？
还有，是不是需要写推荐信呢？以便更容易申请进这学校/申请exemption。

说说我的经历，我曾经申请space utm for mechanical engineering at usm engineering campus, 我有写推荐信，虽然网上没有提出，推荐信可以托公司写的，然后要交什么资料，就follow网上所提出的咯，最终得到的是4年part time课程，我的朋友也有申请，得到5年的课程，为何4@5年，就不清楚了。。。

需要什么资格，还是参考他提出的要求，还有，最重要的还是。。。spm最好最好拿优等或c6或以上。。。还有muet band 3 and above is better
