Night Walk from Commonwealth MRT to Harbor Front MRT
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Date: 02 Apr
This month walk is a night walk along the Southern Ridge Park Connector.
We had this walk last May but was cancelled because of rain. So we will do this walk again this year.
The route starts from Commonweatlth MRT and will take us to Portsdown Road, Kent Ridge Park, Hort Park, Telok Blangah Hill Park, Mt Faber Park and ending at HarborFront MRT.
Along the route, we will cross the railway track, pass the pubs at Portsdown Road, and see the night lights of Sentosa and the ports. We will also walk into Kent Ridge Park Nature Trail in the dark to spice up the walk.

Meeting Date/Time: 02 Apr (Sat)/6pm.
Meeting Place: Commonwealth MRT
End point: Harbor Front MRT
Expected end time: 10pm
Note:
Proper footwear and torchlight/headlamp is a must for this walk as there
will be portion of the route without streetlamp.

我和另外3位朋友报名了。以下是更详细的资料：

The route is a 9km easy walking route, mainly on park connectors. 3 sections of the route to note is the railway track, the nature trail in Kent Ridge Park, and the marang trail in Mt Faber. We will be crossing a railway track near the beginning of the walk. This railway track is the KTM railway track to Malaysia and may have train running on the railway track. Please be keep a lookout for the train when crossing the track.

We will also be walking the nature trail in Kent Ridge Park. The nature trail is a Mountain Biking trail with lots of upslope and downslope. As we will be walking the trail in the dark, headlamp/torch light is a must.

At the end of the walk, we will be going down Marang trail to Harborfront MRT from Mt Faber. There is no street lamp on this stretch of the trail. Again headlamp/torch light is a must.

Please bring along 1l of water for the walk. You can top up water at Hort Park. Also please bring an umbrella/poncho in case of rain.

The meeting point is at Commonwealth MRT control station. We'll start the walk at 6.15pm sharp, and is expected to finish the walk at Harborfront MRT before 10pm. Please have dinner or light snack before the walk. You can follow up with a supper at Vivo after the walk.
