Information Systems Engineering   
This diploma course provides students with a basic understanding of computing techniques and aims to develop the computing and information technology-based knowledge and skills required in modern industrial, commercial and service organisations. It will equip students with essential knowledge of the underlying principles of modern computing technology and enable students to appreciate how modern computers are applied to a range of real world problems. Students will learn C, Java, Assembly Language, Macromedia Flash, XHTML, CSS, Microsoft Expression Web and Java Script.
  
Upon completion, graduates will have acquired knowledge and developed skills in the areas of computer programming, systems analysis, computer applications and object-oriented software development, as well as in generic business subjects.
  
   Academic and Professional Progression

The standard of the Diploma in Science (Information Systems Engineering) is equivalent to the 1st year of a relevant Bachelor Degree. Graduates can further their studies to:
a) Advanced Diploma in Science cum BS Degree (Junior & Senior Years) of Campbell University, USA (Information Systems Engineering) at TAR College
b) Relevant Bachelor (Honours) Degree courses at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) or other universities on advanced standing / credit transfer
   
   Career Prospects
  
Diploma graduates may seek employment in different sectors of the rapidly expanding information technology sector, including software development, database design, system support and computer sales. They may be employed as programmers, end-user support staff, assistant systems analysts, EDP executives, assistant database administrators and IT executives.
Career prospects are good for graduates of this course as they can find employment in a wide range of industries such as software and systems consulting firms, software houses, network communications, computer vendors as well as end-user environments for example, banking, manufacturing, insurance and so on.
  
    Minimum Entry Requirements  
   
  
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) as follows:-
    (i) 5 credits which must include Mathematics
     (ii) Pass in English Language
      
  OR
      
  
Certificate in Computer Studies from TAR College.
   
  Applicants who only have a pass in SPM Bahasa Malaysia will be required to obtain a credit in SPM Bahasa Malaysia or equivalent before the award of Diploma.
   
  A pass in the English Language (1119 Level) course conducted by the Extra-Mural Studies Department (EMSD) is recognised as satisfying the English Language requirement for admission to the Diploma course.

科學的定義很廣
你指的科學是fizik, bio, kimia嗎?
是的話就完全沒關係

比較多是讀關於電腦, 還有programming
會有1點點的add math

可以放心的是, 學院不會要你去死的
老師們自有一套教學的方式

还没有进去读就先想到重考

我给你炸到下....你不是下定决心要顺利毕业那文凭的心态去读的吗？怎么听起来好像抱着“肥佬”的心态读？

你应该问学费多少钱还差不多

没这回事。看你是读什么科系的。SAS重视的是数学的Foundation而已。

如果你是指拉大的话，我不清楚，但是我是指拉院，而且楼主主题已经写明拉院。对方要问的是Diploma，我只是根据楼主的问题来回答。

    不是啦，凡事有例外嘛～ 尤其是我对自己的历史科目，而且我中学也没有 ICT 班，现在要念information system engineering, 难免会想到不及格去～

至于学费，这我已经再清楚不过了～ 哈哈～

失意的人，我想问一下，after diploma, 读完了advanced diploma, 除了出国，可以在本地大学念degree吗？可以的话要几年？

Foundation 是在拉曼大学(UTAR)；Diploma 是在拉曼学院(TARC)。
Foundation in Science 确实需要数学和 2 science subjects 拿credit, 就如这里你所看到的。Diploma in Science 就不一定了，depend on 你拿的科。你可以在这里逐个点来看。

呵～ 如果你要进拉曼大学，就不要和拉曼学院混为一谈，都不一样的～

可以。我们SAS的都可以拿Campbell External Paper，也就是US degree。在我们读Advance diploma的同时考多一张paper。也就是早上考Degree，下午就考Advance（结果读到有点脸青和不够精神，假如隔天又有考试的话）。而这External paper大约是RM 6000左右。因为是根据美金计算，所以不能给你一个Exact的amount。当然Diploma过后也可以考虑去UTAR读，这两个方法都可以省下不必出国拿Degree。当然我比较鼓励拿US degree，毕竟比较便宜。

读ISE真的要加油哦。毕业后大有前途...（虽然我不是ISE的，而是比ISE更挑战性的Microelectronic with computer communication，但是还是有跟ISE的来往）

不是after advanced才拿US Degree吗？

其实是同时拿两张paper，也就是表示并没有Extend你的求学时间。当你Advance diploma考完时，也是Degree那张也考完了。但是是否两张都拿到就看你自己的努力了。甚至有些人被逼Drop掉Advance而取Degree（因为Failed太多科了）。结果最后只拿到Degree文凭。
