我以 Visual FoxPro 开发的 WeightBridge 是以 ActiveX 的 MSCOMM32.OCX 开启 COM1 来读取 电子磅秤的数据。

PC chatting 我9年多前曾用 networking 的开发过，Clipper 编写的，serial port 不曾开发过，因为又慢又过时。

我只写过IEEE GPIB 的 comm。是tester pc跟 handler pc之间用的。
。有API就不难写的

try Java 的 serial port 吧。 我有用过，用在 PC 跟 microcontroller 的communication.google 有很多 有关的 讲解的。有API， tutorial, 不难用。 http://java.sun.com/developer/Bo ... ing/cookbook/11.pdf

他是 属于javax.comm, so 你需要 去 download 他的 jar file 和 .lib file 如果你是window OS.

Serial Port 并没有过时，而却并不“慢” 。 因为serial port 同常识用在 比较 low payload comunication 的， 就如 POS, Door access 等。。。 serial port 有很多 protocol/standard, 比较常见到的 是 RS232。
