C++ 的 append function 。。。

想请问一下，如何写一个 append funtion 来 append file name?

例如：

我把一个 file save as 'theWorld' 在一个 folder,
如果又有相同的 file name ('theWorld') 出现在同一个 folder,
如何 append 相同的 file name 去 theWolrd-a,theWolrd-b,theWolrd-c,......
之类。。。

请各位帮帮忙。。。
