PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a male doctor for secretly making a video recording in a female toilet at his private clinic.
Petaling Jaya police chief Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the police received a report about the incident from a 30-year-old woman, according to a report by Harian Metro.
The woman claimed that the 46-year-old doctor, who is also her employer, had used a mobile phone to record her while she was in a toilet. She said she had worked at the clinic as an assistant for over six years.
He said the victim had entered the toilet at 2pm and saw a mobile phone in a high position with the camera open. “The victim immediately took the mobile phone and realised it belonged to the doctor. The victim was shocked and decided to run away from the clinic but was stopped by the doctor.
“The suspect asked for his mobile phone to be returned and promised to delete the recording,” Fakhrudin said. The victim gave the phone back but was not sure if the recording was deleted.
CID officers arrested the man at 7.30pm the same day and seized his mobile phone.
