In an attempt to douse the fire started by the revelation that the AMK Town Council GM, Victor Wong Chee Meng, who is under CPIB investigation was also a key employee of its Managing Agent, the PAP lapdog sheet the Straits Times today ran an article discussing such "double-hatting" among PAP town councils.

In the article, the Straits Times mildly termed this as having "overlapping roles" on the part of the Managing Agent for the sake of "efficiency". The thrust of its report was this: if there are enough safeguards, such double-hatting was fine.

The report contrasts sharply with its coverage of the same issue in Worker's Party's AHPETC, which is classified as engendering "potential conflicts of interests" that posed governance issues.

We all know that the Straits Times is beholden to the PAP given that the SPH chairman is a former PAP Minister and the paper's Editor is a PAP lapdog.

Still, such blatant prejudice in reporting beggars belief: does the Straits Times think its readers are too stupid to notice such unfair and prejudicial framing of an issue?
