Sarah Mangeet So officers not allowed to have self defence?so the public can do what they do. The public too must abide by rules and not do as they please. So if the officer just stood there n driver did whatever he wanted, public just stand n watch. The officer is just doing his job.

Lta officer cannot be seen to be timid n scared to do his duty..in this particular case he's been harassed n intimidated doing his duty, and he took action to defend himself..In times when world is cruel...what if he cowered n beaten up the public will have another say..stupid lta why he let him hit him..see lah go hospital now !! (Lta must have strong ppl to defend hooligans who bully weak duty officers you will hear all kind.) So we going back to old parking attendants days close eyes see no trouble otherwise kena wallop end of month take pay..who cares boss don't protect us who cares..

Melvin Emmanuel Chan Regardless whether the officer is an employee of LTA or an outsourced employee but once you put on an uniform you're considered as a public/civil servant thus high standards of professionalism is expected from you.
