Samsung Malaysia opens its doors to Kuching

KUCHING: Samsung Malaysia Electronics Co Ltd (Samsung Malaysia) is in the process of opening 100 shops throughout the country by the year end.

Samsung Malaysia’s vice president for sales Chan Lock said curently Samsung has already opened more than 70 shops.
He pointed out that the technology enhancement company was confident of achieve its latest target by the end of the year through aggresive ventures in its efforts to make it the most-loved brand.
Lock revealed that its business was expanding positively in the Southeast Asia region through the latest inventions and technologies covering a wide range of televisions, mobile phones, cameras, printers, monitors, notebook PCs and home appliance products.
“This year, as we aggressively expand and improve our channel coverage, we also want to make sure that consumers who are looking to purchase Samsung products can do so almost everywhere in the world,” he said.
He was speaking at the launching of the Samsung second digital centre, a joint effort partnership with Mega Audio located at Sekama here yesterday.
Lock added that Kuching will also be a part of Samsung’s prime centre strategy to expand its network in the East Malaysian side.
Meanwhile, Mega Audio managing director Lim Heng Chai said he was delighted to be part of the partnership with Samsung.
“The partnership will give us the advantages to increase the selling of Samsung products. Consumers will also get to experience the latest technologies introduced by the brand.” he added.
Samsung generated a total sales of US116.8 billion (RM363.248 billion) in 2009 through its 185 offices across 65 countries.
The company consisted of eight independently operated business units that included visual display, mobile communications, telecommunication systems, digital appliances, IT solutions, digital imaging, semiconductors and LCDs.
Recognised as one of the fastest growing global brands, Samsung is a leading producer of digital TV’s, mobile phones and TFT-LCDs.
