kia ceed 1.6 review
interior好像不错的有水准。。
If first impressions were all that counted, you’d probably now be eyeballing the new class leader. If you think the Peter Schreyer designed Cee’d looks good on the outside, wait until you’re sitting in one. Perceived quality is now directly comparable to Volkswagen and if you’re lucky enough to be plonked into one of the top spec cars (as before there will be four grades imaginatively entitled 1,2,3 and 4) it would not be too strong to describe what you see asgenuinely luxurious.

But this is a car with a problem. Simply put, in Kia’s apparent eagerness to cement its position as the sporting member of the stable next to Hyundai, it has equipped the Cee’d with spring rates unsuited to car and class. The Cee’d is too stiff, even on smooth European roads, needlessly compromising comfort. And while it handles well enough, there is insufficient gain in this area to warrant the compromise to its ride. If there is no change of heart between now and the car arriving in the UK in June, it is likely these deficiencies will be even more keenly felt over here.
In spite of talk of improvements to the multi-link rear suspension and MacPherson struts at the front, the new Cee’d isn’t a sharp handling car – it’ll lean a bit through corners and feels nose heavy. The steering makes things worse, feeling overly light and needing constant little corrections at the straight ahead on the motorway. It doesn’t offer linear inputs as you turn the wheel, too, while the option of normal, sport or comfort modes for the steering only confuses things.But if you care little about how your car handles and prefer a relaxed, comfortable ride, then the Kia scores highly – it handles bumps and ruts okay, with just a hint of firmness. However, it’s sensitive to tyres: the cars we tested were fitted with Hankooks or Continentals, the former adding an extra degree of firmness
Should I buy One?
But seen as a car in its own right the feeling it leaves is not how good it is (though good it undoubtedly is), but how much better it could have been. And in a class as terrifyingly competitive as this, it would be hard to argue that not only do the likes of the Ford Focus and VW Golf still have an edge, but so too does the less flash but more satisfying Hyundai i30. For Kia and its impressive new Cee’d then, it’s a case of close, but not quite close enough. |
