首長稱協助沙促進旅遊業
航空業不可或缺
【亞庇二日訊】首席部長拿督慕沙阿曼今日說，在沙巴發展走廊計劃下，航空業在協助本州促進本區域的旅遊業方面扮演不可或缺的角色。
他表示，位於三小時飛行範圍內的策略性位置，本州有能力帶來七千七百一十萬名遊客。
他說：「在六個小時的飛行範圍內，便有一億三千九百四十萬名潛在遊客，這個數據尚不包括三千四百五十萬名來自四個主要區域的國際遊客，即吉隆坡、新加坡、香港和曼谷。」
首長在此間為亞洲航空的亞庇--耶加達和亞庇--巴厘航線主持推介禮時，這麼表示。
他指出，在沙巴發展走廊計劃下，旅遊業已被鑑定是一個促進服務領域的主導者，並預料將是本州在二零二五年成為最適合居住所在宏願的支柱。
有鑑於此，慕沙歡迎首相拿督斯里阿都拉巴達威在最近主持沙巴發展走廊計劃時，宣佈開放本州航空領域的決定。
他說，政府將為有意申請飛入本州的航空公司提供便利，以刺激遊客的到訪。
「如果沒有更好的航空聯繫，那麼要吸引來自遙遠國度的遊客並不容易，在有許多過境和飛機抵達沙巴之下，我們可轉而吸引這些有潛能的遊客，况且我們也可提供許多產品。」
「亞洲航空確為本州帶來各種經濟和商貿機會，我們已看到經濟和社會發展上的一些顯著變化，特別是在亞庇、山打根和斗湖。」
較早時，亞洲航空集團首席執行員東尼弗南迪斯表示，新的兩個航線將吸引國際旅客從巴厘和耶加達前來本州。
他也宣佈亞洲航空將在兩個月內開始亞庇--納閩的航線，以迎合對廉價航空的增加需求。
他說，亞洲航空也計劃開拓從亞庇直飛新加坡，以及直飛曼谷和悉尼。
他希望本州能繼吉隆坡之後，成為亞洲航空第二個運作中心，以便促進為東合東部成長區的聯繫。 |
