A container of eapacity 20dm-1 at 298k contains 2 mol of hydrogen 2mol of oxygen and an unknown ammount of co2

b)the mixture was then sparked
i)write an equation for the reaction that is expected to take place
ii)after sparking ,the container was cooled to 298K calculate the find pressure in the container(the vapour pressure of water can be ignored)

3)b)150 dm-1 of a sample of nitrogen contains traces of water and co2 at 298K and 100KPa .the mass of the gas decreases by 10.51g after it is passed through an aqueous solution of sodium hyderoxide .when the gas is passed through concentrated sulphuric acid .a reduction of 0.43g observed

i)calculate the composition by volume of each gas in the mixture
ii)calculate the partial pressure of each gas in mixture

1.10)Decribe the determination of relative atomic mass using the mass spectrometer (这题问什么〕,是他的功能还是原因?)

the table below lists the RAM of 3 types of carbon
subtance    carbon-12    carbon-13 Diamond
relative mass   12.000    13.003     12.011

c)calculate the mass of one c-12 atom
d)diamond consists of the c12 anc c13 isotopes ,calculate the percentage of c12 of diamond

i feel that this question wants u to explain the principles used to determine RMM of an element...

i feel that this question wants u to explain the principles used to determine RMM of an element...answer can be found in any book explaining how spectrometer works..

for question 3b...i dun reli remember how 2 calculate them...bt i do hav some useful info..hope can help u a lot

sodium hydroxide can absorb carbon dioxide, so d decrease of weight is due to loss of carbon dioxide in the gas mixture....

concentrated sulphuric acid is a drying agent, can absorb water...so u knw la.....

gd luck.....

work hard 4 stpm.....u'l c d effect of studyin form 6 after u enter university...gd luck!!!
