A 62-year-old man died after an accident involving the electric bicycle he was riding collided with a tipper truck at Cecil Street towards Collyer Quay on Friday (Nov 18) morning.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics and a 62-year-old tipper truck driver was arrested for causing death by a negligent act, police said. Investigations are ongoing. Our condolences to the family.

Please coach and share with your children and love ones about these blind spots of heavy vehicles. Many have the misconception that if they can see the truck, then the driver can see them. This is entirely untrue and somebody is going to get hurt.
