WINDING-UP PETITION SERVED ON GULA PERAK BERHAD

   


Announcement Details/Table Section :





The Company received a winding up petition no. 28-81-2011 (“Petition”) from Infra Purnama Sdn Bhd (“Petitioner”) .





The details of the petition are set out as follow:


a)                  the Petition was presented to the Shah Alam High Court on 15 March 2011 and the winding up petition was served on 15 April 2011.  The matter is fixed for hearing on 18 May 2011.


b)                  The claim under the Petition amounted to RM4,004,459.70 plus interest of 5% per annum.


c)                  In the Petition, it is claimed that GPB is indebted to the Petitioner for the aforementioned sum, being part of the contract sum for renovation and general construction works.


d)                  This winding up proceeding will have a major impact on the financial and operational aspects of the Company.


e)                  We are unable to ascertain losses.


f)                    The Company is seeking to negotiate and settle the matter out of court and is seeking legal advice on the same.
