售子公司部份股權‧華商符國油執照資格

（吉隆坡1日訊）華商機構（WASEONG, 5142, 主板工業產品組）宣佈脫售旗下Wasco防護及Botco私人有限公司的部份股權於兩家公司的現任董事，以符合國家石油（Petronas）執照下的土著持股條件。
該公司發文告指出，上述脫售計劃分別由旗下兩家子公司－－Wasco防腐服務及Total原油科技私人有限公司獨立進行，其中，Wasco防腐服務共以50萬9千令吉脫售Wasco防護的7%股權於董事阿茲蘭，Total原油科技則以76萬8千令吉脫售Botco的16%股權於莫哈末尼詹（10%）及阿茲蘭（6%）。
阿茲蘭是Botco的現任董事經理，而且是Total原油科技董事之一，莫哈末尼詹則是Botco主席及董事，脫售活動將讓阿茲蘭及莫哈末尼詹分別持有Botco的34.81%及16.68%股權。
在完成股權脫售活動後，Wasco防護及Botco的土著持股將增加至51.52%及51.49%，符合國油執照的土著持股要求。

Wah Seong 1Q net profit surges to RM43.37m

KUALA LUMPUR: WAH SEONG CORPORATION BHD [] net profit for the first quarter ended March 31, 2011 surged to RM43.37 million from RM17.02 million a year ago, due to increasing activities recorded in all divisions of the Group, especially in the pipeline services division.

It said on Wednesday, May 11 revenue for the quarter increased  by 19.8% to 490.89 million from RM409.62 million. Earnings per share were 5.83 sen while net assets per share was RM1.31.

Commenting on its prospects, Wah Seong said the continued global demand for oil and gas and the current price of crude oil was expected to spur investment activities of oil majors.

“This increase in investment activities together with the existing orders in hand is expected to have a positive impact on the group’s performance for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2011,” it said.

Wah Seong nod to O&G biz demerger

Wah Seong Corp Bhd has approved a proposed demerger of its oil and gas businesses, which are currently held under its wholly-owned unit, Wasco Energy Ltd.

In a statement today, Wah Seong said the move would enable Wasco Energy and its units to operate as a separate and fast-growing public-listed entity.

Wah Seong said a proposed listing of Wasco Energy on the Main Market of Bursa Securities would be sought in conjunction with the proposed demerger.

"After the proposed demerger, Wah Seong will remain listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia and will be principally engaged in industrial services activities such as trading of building materials, renewable energy and pipe manufacturing for water and structural purposes," it said. -- Bernama
