Britney's Femme Fatale debut here in Malaysia yesterday and oh my, she turned a storm all over the country. the album is officially debut on #1 of our national album chart with 10,232 copies - the highest number ever by any artist, locally or internationally. it is amazing because our singing legend, Dato Siti Nurhaliza just hit the 9,000+ marks with her latest effort.
during the same day, HIAM and TTWE roared up the radio charts, scoring 7/7 #1 and #2 in our 7 most important radio especially Hitz.FM - the biggest English radio channel in Malaysia. and also, HIAM hit #1 for the 6th times at MTV Asia Top20 countdown. not to mention, HIAM and TTWE became the most played track on a single day ever - being played almost 70 times in a day.
the same day the album released, there are gay bars and nightclubs hosting parties as a celebration to the album release. it was a frenzy. in my place, Qbar (gaybar) and RazzMatazz, 2 of the biggest nightclubs in Sabah, were on fire. people literally Dancing Till The Sunlight Comes Up to Britney's tunes.
as for today, Femme Fatale sold another 8000+, making her as our Queen of Charts for the 2nd week.
