US stock - ACTC.OB, now changed to OCAT (Ocata Therapeutics)

I am from Ipoh and a long time resident in US. I can read and write Chinese but not type. I know I know, just too lazy to learn, but I like to browse Chinese forum rather than English.

As I browse thru here, I noticed quite some folks are investing or going to invest in US stock market. Thus I wanted to share those two stocks above that I see with great potential, not because of the chart said so ( I don't know how to read chart yet ) but because of what they are doing.

First and foremost, always do your own Due Diligence!!! You don't want to put your hard earned money to an investment just based on someone said it is good. At the end it is your money!

Now cut the chase. The reason that I wanted to share this is becuase these two have the potential of becoming another HGSI, VNDA or DNDN. I am sure many of you heard of or lucky to be part of those. I was not. . Now here is the chance. I felt like this is street money and should be shared to those that did the home work and believed.

GERN and ACTC.OB are both Biotech companies. They both have FDA approval for doing clinical trials on researches using human Embryonic Stem Cell(hESC). In US there are many approved Adult stem cell trials but there are only 3 FDA approved hESC trials. One for GERN and the other TWO for ACTC.OB.

In the past few days, there are web blog that seems to unintentionally leak info of the trials and when ppl started to dig into it, they found facebook and twitter about it. And general conclusion among investment forum is it is legit or this is a very very sophisticated scam. Below is the link.

People use her name and also the name of the subject to search online/facebook/twitters and found that this blogger seems to be legitimate, like her pictures, her linked-in etc etc. Talk about www power!!!

The expectation from what ppl found is the result of the phase one should be PR soon and the trails in the blog and twitts indicated a very positive result. As for me, I am not holding any GERN as I have invested almost all into ACTC.OB. GERN is a good stock but at this time just not for my level as I aim for greatest possible gain. Read the link below and I agree with what he said. If I have spare money(I did, but all spent on ACTC) I would take the risk.

As for ACTC.OB, I am heavily invested in it because after doing some home work and following it for a while, I see the potential that this penny stock have a great potential to slowly skyrocket to much higher number. I don't want to just throw out any number here but if the potential is realized it will be over $10. I just going to give the summary here and details as we go along.

1)They have two approvals of FDA,one announced late Nov last year and the other announced January . One is for treatment of AMD and the other is for treatment of SMD, in short, some forms eye disease that affected 30 millions ppl in US and Europe.

2)They cleaned up their balance sheet. Currently have have less than 1 million debt but have about $15 millions cash. The downside is the A/S share is 1.7 billion and O/S share is 1.6 billions

3)They have a patent of the method(Blastomere) that can extract stem cell from embryo without distroying it. Some of you might or might not familiar, here a lot of opposition to regenerative medicine research that use hESC because in the past they are generated by method that have to distroy stem cell.

4)The treatment of the AMD/SMD is tested in animal models and shows 100% sucessful rate. One key point that I want you guys to take away is the human eye is immune privileged area. Thus when they inject the hESC cell to the eye, the test will be either it works or it does not work. But there will be no immune system rejection issue like organ transplants.

5)The phase I test of AMD should start around late May to Mid June, as mentioned in the Company Investor call two weeks ago.

Now I am going to throw out what I know about the company, the research and the field in general.

There are mainly two types of stem cell research. One is adult stem cells and the other is human Embryonic stem cells. Check these links. You don't have to go into details and know all, just overview.

In recent months, more and more studies show that while adult stem cells can be re-engineered to be hESC likes, there found more and more unknown problems and mutation or the cell "remembered" it old nature before re-engineered. Another drawback of Adult stem cell ( also called iPS-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Induced_pluripotent_stem_cell ) is that while during research they show signs of improving condition of some diseases like alzheimer they tend to died faster because they are not the original but rather engineered cell.

In United States using embryonic stem cells for research has been a political as well and ethnics debates. Many pro-life people are opposing using hESC for research because they believed obtaining hESCs by detroying the embryo is unethnical and against God's will. This is evidently proved by the fact that in Bush's era he banned federal funding of hESC researches. This banned is lifted by Obama but then there is one ignorance scientist suing the lift because he is focused on iPSCs research and affraided that the lifting will be at his disadvantage where funding will be limited because the fund now can go both iPSCs and hESCs researches. 这公司已经成立大约１２年， 过去都在从事科研， 连续不断地烧钱， 结果是 1.7 billion shares authorized, about 1.6 outstanding.这两年开始有成果，FDA的临床人类试验的批准就是证实。当然这只是第一步。所以这是长线的投资。它必需通过 FDA 的 phase I, phase II and phase III clinical trials, 每一个 phase results 都获得赞同审定, 这产品才能上市场, 估计需要三年。

There is no tracks records and revenues for this company to follow. You need to know at least a bit of the science in order to comfortably investing in this company. The risks is there for sure, but the potential is very very huge once the science is validated. In this case, curing AMD and SMD with differentiated RPE cells derived from embryonic stemc cells.

That is also why I am trying to tell what I know about it.......
