Loan Eligibility Requirement
Malaysian citizen
SPM minimum 3 credits and pass in BM for STPM, A-levels and Diploma students
SPM minimum 5 credits and pass in BM for Foundation / Pre-University students
UEC minimum 6 B
Pursuing full-time first degree course in UTAR
2 guarantors (Biological parents only)
Student MUST meet UTAR minimum entrance requirement for all the courses approved by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and Department of Private Education (JPS), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE).
No other financial assistance (except bank loans)
At the time of application, student must not be in the last year of his/her course
Student who obtained his/her PTPTN loan previously in other institution but failed to complete his/her study are only eligible to apply for the second time upon payment of all outstanding debts to PTPTN
A 1% administrative cost per annum will be charged on the reducing balance starting from the date of repayment
