关于纸牌花式（Flourish）的看法（虾米？你不是不玩的meh?）

好了，认识我的朋友都知道，

我是众多魔术爱好者之中（尤其是玩牌的）少数只玩魔术不练花式的异端

但是毕竟看得多了，也会有一些心中的想法的，也许那些想法可以帮助到你们~


好了，什么是花式，对我来说花式并不是说那种难到要死的切牌，而是

一种华丽，顺畅的动作表现，并且主要以“圆”作为动作的基础（Spread例外），

别的不说，我们只是开下美一点的Fan，拉一下牌，然后在三切时旋转一下，

在观众的心目中其实已经达到 Flourish 的效果了.....


但目前 "市场" 上的 flourish 有两种路线：

一种是做给人看的，一种纯粹是自 High 的.............


我有问过一些玩纸牌 flourish 的人，他们也是觉得

一些 Flourish 有些人看了就觉得很厉害，但也有很多人看了会觉得没什么，

甚至会给人一种你很宅男的感觉....（他们自己说的）

而且一些 Flourish 在镜头前看到是很美，辛辛苦苦练了后

现场做起来反而给人感觉没有怎样.....唉~


最后...说说下目前我个人觉得，有四种类型的纸牌 Flourish 是比较多观众喜欢看的：
（排名不分先后）

开扇，射牌，Spread牌（包括拉牌，展牌之类的），Ace Production!!!

其实真的只是自high，用处？我在tcz有写过一篇很长的东西。的空的话，读一读拉。对你们有帮助的。

如下：
well guys, i guess most of the people had seen bunches of threads saying why we flourish, but i guess, in here, Malaysia, i'm the first one who write this though.  

so, goes back to the main topic we are going to discuss. why we flourish? fun? bored of those sleight of hands? attracts people?

bunches of answers u can obtain. but absolutely, flourish serves not only one purpose, but few. here i'm going to breakdown into few parts which i got it for the 3 years i've been flourishing.

First--> Muscle Memory
     Learning flourish is actually helping our hands' muscle memories to remember the movement of our hands to control the cards, in the other way round, it can help you to master your sleights easily(i'll explain it later). by doing flourish all the time, what i mean here is from the morning until the night, this is what i do most of the time. so it's actually impossible for you guys saying something like :"oohhhh, i'm so buzy, i cant practice this and that." it's just an excuse. so, when someone keeps flourishing, due to the movements while flourishing, our muscles tend to get used to it. compare with sleights, the movements of doing sleights are much slighter, which means we only move for a very small degree. therefore, here comes an example which will clarify this. i played basketball since primary school. it's almost impossible for me to do all those cross over tricks in the beginning, so a guy asked me to dump all those useless movements first and master the basic and the largest portion of dribbling the ball, run with ball. only after mastering the basic run with ball, then i only started to learn all those crossovers things. same in sleights, by doing flourishes at first, let your hands to remember the feeling of the cards, then gradually, learning a sleight like clipshift(which i took 3 days), bottom deal(5days), greek deal(3 days after mastering bottom deal) and so on, i can firmly to tell you, flourishes did contribute some helps in learning sleights. and oh ya, pinky count? 2 days. not being showing off but wanna show the fact that flourish can make your hands strong.

Second--> Style
     Motion, just like what you've seen in those video clips by Dan and Dave, Daniel Madison, Jordan Lapping, MatnMax, and those upcomings in thecuso.info, you can realize that there are quite many different styles in each one. so, it creates style of a person. what i mean style here is actually the different between people. of coz it's different, but we can see that too many people tend to follow what had been taught in the DVD, follow literally what was inside. for instance, learning flourishes like pandora. when i started to learn it, it was way damn hard for me because i tend to follow everything in it, the speed, the angle, and some sort of things. i tried to imitate the twins. but later on, i realized that it couldn't the same at all because we are totally different. so why should we wanna be them? just be ourselves, so i didn't care about the speed, the angle, the ways to hold cards anymore, and lastly, just play with them with my own way. even you can see my pandora is different with Tmagic's one. but who cares? after that, flourishing gives you an inspiration that to be unique, so not only be unique in flourish, but also in performing magic. Learning by DVD is a very good thing, but yet, people tend to follow what've been taught inside, even the speech which you need to speak to the audiences. this is not good, very very not good. that's why i strongly recommend reading books to learn effects or just learn the sleights and the routines and dump away the stories that he tells you. Create the story by yourself. just like flourish, it has to be style, not imitating. for video examples, see never end

each of us had different styles, it's not just about different flourishes but the style there. you can watch virtuoso's videos for examples too. that is why they are growing so fast(but why now i din see them around? LOL)

Third--> Kick-Start
     what i mean here is you can use flourish to actually attract people's eyes. in malaysia, the audiences are not so keen in watching you perform magic. so, don't be the one who goes to ask :"hello, miss, you want to look something?" or "hi, i've something to show you!". in The real secret of david stone, he kept shouting this kind of things to the audiences but no one actually cared about him. eventually, he used a fire wallet which serves two purposes, 1st, "who dropped the wallet!?" people will look at the wallet(human's greed? @@), 2nd, the fire which comes out from the wallet. after that, everyone's eyes will be staring at him. here, flourish serves as the tool to attract people too. just standing there and flourishing for awhile, i bet someone will look at you already. my personal experience, i was sitting in starbuck and online, my hands were holding cards and i was flourishing there. a few kids came by and just sat there to watch. well, i just did an Erdnese colour change(i believe this one still can be the most powerful colour change ever) and they were shocked. their mama and papa came by, the whole family was watching me for magic after that. so, as you can see here, i didn't even need to ask. flourishes as a kick-start will be a very very good tool for you magicians out there. but remember, dont do flourishes after u insert the card into the middle of the deck while you are doing ACR.

i'll stop here first. when i get some new ideas later, i'll post it up.

对于外行的人，我喜欢做给别人爽

记得某天，某个同学在班上很lc的说：哈！我有单车牌，就是魔术师的专用牌。。。（感觉他很外行）
当然他还show off，都是那些swing cut，one-hand fan 等等的东西 （他自己爽，我不爽）:@
最后忍不住气，我直接说我比他更牛，他就借我牌咯
不用讲，我都是用dd的花式，同学傻了 （应该他们high到傻了）

花式像魔术一样，自己high “比不上”show off 给别人爽
反而自己high 会忽略别人的存在

魔术就是可以变一次给人家看，做多次就会让别人知道你怎样变咯。可是 flourish 就不一样咯，你可用表演过的同样的动作+你自己创意自创的=变成新的花样给别人欣赏。如果没有观众时，魔术就不能变给人看了，可是flourish 可以自己练习，自创新花样，自high。 3 种享受就只需你随身带的那副牌。

我写这篇文章，不是要拿魔术跟花式来比，也不是什么花式应不应该练的无聊问题...

重点是这一段：

好久沒回來，第一個帖就先回蛇兄的好了。

我覺得主要是 內行看門道，外行看熱鬧 吧。

那四個一般觀眾喜歡看的花式，主要都是一些電視上比較常看到，即時效果比較強的。至於比較沒人看得懂的那些，在他們眼中可能只是"搞不懂你為什麼要把牌夾來夾去翻來翻去然後最後回歸成一幅牌，有意義咩？"
台灣的 鬼手 上綜藝大哥大表演的時候也只有他在開一層和兩層的扇的時候才出現主持人和現場觀眾的驚嘆聲。

練花式練到辛辛苦苦，最後會欣賞的最多也是自己有接觸過花式或是比較有興趣的人，這個類別的人才懂得該花式有多難練，技巧多高超，但欣賞的角度就跟一般的觀眾不同。

要說自high也還好啦，最多就自己一個圈子的人在high這樣。

1。自high型-就是自己玩自己爽.....练到半死也觉得自己爽就好
2.show off型-这种人往往show off ,只希望观众觉得他做强
3.运动型-就是把flourish当运动来玩
4.表演型-用花式表演来娱乐大众，基本上是‘自high型’的进化
