Robbers Strike Former Assistant Minister's House Twice In Less Than Three Weeks

KUCHING, April 13 (Bernama) -- Armed robbers struck at the residence of former Sarawak assistant minister of welfare and women's affairs Datuk Sharifah Mordiah Tuanku Fauzi here early today, the second time in less than three weeks.

In the 3am robbery, five masked men armed with several machetes and screwdrivers robbed the occupants of RM5,000, a Rolex watch, jewellery and six handphones.

None of the seven adults and six children who were in the double-storey house in Jalan Stadium, Petra Jaya, at the time of the robbery were injured.

Sharifah Mordiah was away in Bintulu for a meeting of the Malaysian Muslim Welfare Organisation (Perkim) but her daughter, Semariang assemblyman Sharifah Hasidah Syeed Aman Ghazali, were among those at home during the robbery.

Sharifah Hasidah said the robbers, believed to be locals and foreigners, entered the house by prising open a window of the prayer room and went to the room of her eldest daughter Sharifah Mordiah (rpt) Mordiah.

They got her 13-year-old daughter to knock on the door of the bedroom where she and husband, Sayed Mohamad Hussein Wan Abdul Rahman, were asleep.

"We were stunned upon opening the door as my daughter was standing with three men armed with machetes and screwdrivers. The men tied up my hands and my daughter's hands with handphone charger cord and left us in my bedroom," she told reporters at the house.

Sharifah Hasidah said the robbers tied up her husband, two sisters, Sharifah Rodziah and Sharifah Noraini, and their father, Syeed Aman Ghazali Tuanku Junaidi, in one of the upstairs rooms. They then ransacked the house and fled with the valuables, she said.

"The robbers said they needed money but my father told them that we did not have much as we had been robbed about two weeks ago," she said.

Earlier, Sharifah Rodziah, upon overhearing a commotion, had telephoned an elder sister, Sharifah Rehanah, who lived at nearby Jalan Astana and informed her to contact the police.

"The robbers only stayed for about 20 minutes. They fled when they realised that a police patrol car had pulled up at the house," Sharifah Hasidah said.

Sarawak Deputy Commissioner Police Datuk Abdul Rahman Hussin said a team of policemen which rushed to the house saw one of the five robbers running away into the bushes at the back of the house.

"Our men immediately flushed the area for about two hours. However, we failed to track the robbers down," he told reporters at the house.

Abdul Rahman said the police believed the robbers, comprising locals and foreigners, were one of the four known gangs of robbers who struck at houses in the state.

In the previous robbery, on March 27, six masked men armed with a gun and several machetes relieved the occupants of cash, jewellery and valuables worth about RM40,000.

On April 1, six masked men armed with guns had also broken into the residence of Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr George Chan, also in Petra Jaya, at about 2.40am and robbed him of a gold ring, a RM1,000 worth Tissot wristwatch, a handphone and a wallet containing RM20 from his driver, Bong Kho Vui.

抢高官就好了，我们的钱已经被他们吸到干干净净了。
反正他们都会把贪污到的钱放在外国，现在他们的钱将会在大马流通，促进经济繁荣。抢他们多一点，不然他们会讲“治安非常好”

对呀。。 干得好。。 不然他们那些高官根本就不知道治安有多坏。。 很多警察都很怕事的。。。 有次我家进贼， 我爸爸报警， 几个钟头警察还不来， 然后还打电话问我们贼跑了没有？？ 很像在怕那个贼呢。。。

怕, 他們當然怕, 因為他們怕打錯人, 傷及無辜, 我家上一次進賊, 警察來了只拿木棍, 沒有手槍, 最好笑的就是當時還不確定哪歹徒是否還在屋內, 你知道警察做什麼嗎??? 他站在我父親後面, 要我父親先入屋查看  

他要一個手無吋鉄的平民百姓走在他受過專業訓練傭有武器的警察前面當他擋箭牌,你說扯嗎????:@ :@

警察无能，那可不可以动用军队？毕竟都是受过训练，比我们百姓身手

我觉得这些部长被入屋行搶很可能是他自己造出来的.
怎么连连几天都是部长家被抢而不是别人呢??
入屋行搶只那了那么一些?? 应该还有很多宝贵的东西吧.
还有, 如果今天你是贼的话, 你真的会去行抢部长家吗?? 保安呢??  怎么不去行抢白毛家呢??
我想这些部长一定是想搞什么鬼计来造这入屋行抢. :@
