重新开机后就出现问题，昨晚我 update 完还可以玩，跑 Hoodoo 地图。


今早重新开机就什么服饰器都进不了。

有点道理的说法。

Valve released a new update at some point today that supposedly fixed a number of issues, including spies being able to use the Ambassador to shoot through the gates (go to your Games list in STEAM and right click TF2, then click View Update News to see it). It's most likely that something they did with this new patch messed up something with the particles. I was playing less than an hour ago when I got the dreaded red "Connection Problem" message in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. After I disconnected, I tried joining various other servers, only to be confronted with this problem each time. My guess is that the update was released while many people were playing, and once they left the servers they were on, they could no longer join, because their games had ben updated, but the servers had not. I'm guessing that the reason the server I was on went down was because they restarted it after updating. So I think a bit of patience is what is needed; wait a bit, and then try to join a few servers again, and most likely you'll find at least one that you can join.

奇怪，我要用PayPal过账却一直说我不够钱，要link debit or credit card，是购买TF2要给的钱有surcharge的？
还是一定要link 才能用PayPal的acc买东西？

噢！如果 server 不更新，我们就麻烦了。。。

Your regular server has not updated their files. Valve has no control over when other people update their own game servers. They could choose to never update them if they cared to.

You can turn automatic updates for the game off. If you did this then you won't get the update. I am sure a lot of people do this so they can play on their favorite servers. Then when they get a connection issue to that server they will opt to download the update since the server is now updated. Thus never running into this issue. They could also just hate the fact that when there is an update and you run the game it halts to download the update. Some people are just impatient and don't want to deal with it and download the update when it is convenient for them. So they turn the auto-updates off.

I really think that MOST people are still running into trouble with servers that simply haven't updated yet. SOME may still be having other issues related to hardware/software configurations. Valve or any software vendor for that matter cannot guarantee that the software will run perfectly on every single combination of components. It is just impossible, there could be well over billions of combinations. I am sure they do testing on a variety of machines but you can't test them all.
