Kuala Lumpur, 25th May 2007: Nextnation Communication Berhad (Nextnation) was awarded the prestigious Mobile Content Developer of the Year at the annual Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Telecoms Awards Banquet, held yesterday. Fifteen titles were conferred at the event which was officiated by Deputy Minister of Energy, Water and Communications, Datuk Shaziman Abu Mansor.

The Frost & Sullivan Awards are presented to companies that demonstrate best practices in their industry, commending the diligence, commitment, and innovative business strategies required to advance in the global marketplace. The awards recognise companies which have pushed the boundaries of excellence and demonstrated outstanding performance in the telecommunications, information and communications technology industry.

In his acceptance speech, Group CEO and MD, Mr. PY Tey noted that the award is a validation and recognition of Nextnation's efforts and contribution in building a dynamic and viable mobile content industry in Malaysia. He noted that, "The company has been aggressively pursuing opportunities outside of the country, and to a large extent have been quite successful at replicating our home-grown business model in various countries in the region. I do not think it impossible, that in 3 to 5 years, Nextnation will become the leading mobile applications service provider in the Asia Pacific region, joining the ranks of many of our Malaysian peers."

He also thanked the judges, customers and employees of the group, "I wish to thank the distinguished panel of judges for selecting us as the Award recipient, our customers who have supported us towards greater synergy within the industry, and I personally would like to thank team Nextnation for journeying with me in making this company what it is today."

Winners were evaluated on revenue growth, market share and growth in market share, leadership in product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, and various actual market performance indicators. Frost & Sullivan's analysts short listed, researched and evaluated the top contenders in each category. The findings of the detailed evaluation were then presented to an independent panel of judges comprising representatives from the telecommunications sector, industry leaders and the media.

刚从家乡回来，迟些在翻译

Hi 假名,

Nextnat was once my top investment ,  I hold more than 100,000 shares in this company & I have followed this stk for 18 months. At first  I m very confident in this stk. Then I started to feel suspicious with its cashflow. Thro a reliable source , I manage to get the information that its 5 mil loan was rejected by a foreign bank. And my source told me that the main reasons is they can't produce debtors aging & debtors listing.  

This started to worry me,  When I combine its delay in private placement, bonus issue,  high debtors, application for bank loan when ur report show healthy cashflow, I concluded I shld say bye bye to this company.

I even wrote in to the company asking them about thier debtor collection strategy & debtor listing hahaha, Of course , they didnt reply me as expected.  
Since then , I immediately disposed all its stk at 0.60 +/- . Although I m still making good profit (cost 0.4 -0.45) but  I dont think I have made a good investment as I missed plenty of opportunity cost during this bull run as large amount of my fund was tied inside.

I sincerely advised those who still keeping this stk , try to sell when there is an opportunity, consider to reduce the shareholding in this company. Buy back when u obtain a clearer picture in its debtors position

發現苗頭不對，早就cutloss，之前還沒2送1，0.59買, 0.565賣。
感覺跟megan一樣，業績超好，私下配售股票，都不分錢。
不一樣的地方是nextnat大股東股份大，如果要炒的話股價有作為 ,大股東要不要炒是他家的事。

非常同意你的看法。
这只股我去年买过，非常庆幸可以全身而退，没有亏钱。否则留到今天的活，后果不知。。。。

很怀疑它的业绩。。。。，感觉很夸张。

KUALA LUMPUR: Nextnation Bhd is in the final stages of talks with companies to expand its services to the Asia-Pacific region. If the terms are finalised, the company would proceed to do due diligence.

Nextnation chief executive officer and managing director Ter Por Yee told reporters after the company’s shareholders’ meeting yesterday that its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region was likely to be via joint ventures.

Apart from the Asia-Pacific region, Nextnation is also looking to expand its presence in China and India. Ter said the company was on track to achieve 70% revenue contribution from overseas by the next financial year ending 30 April, 2008.

Ter said the focus would be on China first and most likely in the form of a joint venture, too. He also said the timing and expansion into these countries would depend on policies of the respective countries. Mesdaq-listed Nextnation provides multimedia platforms that enable content providers such as telcos to develop and market content and applications to mobile subscribers.

On the rational of the expansion, Ter said despite the longer gestation time in expanding overseas, the diversity of markets would generate more positive returns on investments.

“Malaysia only has 26 million population and in nine months you can break even. But if you go to a country with 10 times Malaysia’s population, probably you’re looking at similar size or bigger investments,” he added. “Growth in China and India is more than able to keep us busy for five years.”

Ter said Nextnation’s competitive edge was that its platforms had cross-medium presence in media such as television, mobile phone and electronic billboards. This allowed the company to keep costs low.

On the RM10 million loan given to Nextnation’s subsidiary Nextnation Network Sdn Bhd by Malaysia Debt Ventures Bhd for expansion, Ter said the majority of the fund would be distributed among its Thai, Indonesian and Vietnamese divisions.

Ter said there were no significant expansion plans to Europe as they were expensive.

對令吉萬美元的貸款給nextnation的附屬nextnation網絡有限公司是由馬來西亞債務企業有限公司擴建，之三說，大部分的基金將被分配給它的泰文，印尼文和越南均告。
