Contents	:	Magnum Corporation Berhad ("Magnum") has today, 19 February 2008, received a notification dated 18 February 2008 from Dato' Surin Upatkoon, a Director of Magnum, of his indirect dealings in the ordinary shares of RM0.50 each in Magnum ("Magnum Shares") on 24 January 2008 which occurred outside the closed period and 30 January 2008 which occurred during the closed period (as defined in Chapter 14).

Remarks :
The SCR will involve the reduction of the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of MCB of RM2,462,848,661 comprising 4,925,697,322 ordinary shares of RM0.50 each (“MCB Shares”) after the Bonus Issue (as defined below) to RM500 comprising 1,000 MCB Shares by way of cancellation of all MCB Shares then in issue other than 1,000 MCB Shares then held by Multi-Purpose Holdings Berhad (“MPHB”). To facilitate the implementation of the SCR, a bonus issue of 3,496,567,222 new MCB Shares (“Bonus Issue”) will be carried out. Under the SCR, all the shareholders of MCB other than MPHB (and persons related to MPHB and/or holding MCB Shares on behalf of MPHB), whose names appear in the Record of Depositors of MCB on the Entitlement Date, shall receive a cash amount of RM3.45 for each existing MCB Share held before the Bonus Issue. MPHB (and persons related to MPHB and/or holding MCB Shares on behalf of MPHB) shall waive its/their entitlement to the repayment of capital pursuant to the SCR. It is not the intention of MCB to list the new MCB Shares to be issued pursuant to the Bonus Issue (“Bonus Shares”) on the Official List of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”). The Bonus Shares will not be credited into the Central Depository System accounts of all shareholders of MCB, and when issued, will be subsequently cancelled under the SCR. MCB is expected to be de-listed and removed from the Official List of Bursa Securities after completion of the SCR. The trading of MCB Shares on the Main Board of Bursa Securities will be suspended with effect from 9.00 a.m. on 28 May 2008, being three (3) clear Market Days prior to the Entitlement Date. Accordingly, the last day of trading of MCB Shares on the Main Board of Bursa Securities prior to suspension shall be 5.00 p.m. on 27 May 2008. The trading of MCB Shares on the Main Board of Bursa Securities will continue to be suspended until the completion of the SCR and the subsequent de-listing of MCB from the Official List of Bursa Securities.
